Review: The book in a lucid manner explained the impact of hormones in our body and how they affect the body weight. The cookie cutter approach to weight loss for everybody is not feasible as each body type is different. The explanations on how different hormones work was easy to understand and how to optimise on the exercises to get the best fat loss. The book was an eye opener as most people consider that one should eat less and exercise more to lose weight - this is absolutely not true. The authors present their arguments substantiated with facts and science to explain the concept of fat loss. A well written book, very informative and also inspires one to review their exercise and food patterns. Review: This a is book well worth reading. I am wondering though, WHY they called it the Me DIET. It's not a diet book. Sure, it's information that helps you adjust how you're eating, but primarily it is about eating smaller and more frequent meals, in conjunction with 'rest-based' training, which I find fascinating. I have pretty much been eating this way for a while now, and have lost of bunch of weight prior to discovering this book, BUT I have plateaued and wondered if I was missing something. I believe the New Me Diet and the information from brothers Jade and Keoni Teta is the missing link. Now I just have to apply it. They have the training and education to back up everything they say; it's all about hormones, and whether or not your metabolic type is a factor. Are you a sugar/fat or mixed (combo of the 2) burner? We all have particular ways of eating/craving food. There is a comprehensive quiz to establish what kind of 'burner' you are. I've just gone through the book once, and am going to go through it again, so I'm well aware of what I can do in order to budge this last 5-10 pounds. Thank you Jade and Keoni on coming from a place of health and wellness. I much more respect the fact that they are both naturopathic physicians, biochemists, and personal trainers with a lifetime of being athletes. Not a crash diet - this is a lifestyle change. The book is VERY easy to read and gives many examples of individuals who have had trouble losing and maintaining weight in the past, finally succeed by eating more and exercising less (but more effectively). Well done.

Ce livre est intéressant, la présentation des exercices est assez peu pratique à l'usage. Reste encore à faire tout cela !

Really informative, easy to read book. Don't get this if you want a step by step restrictive diet but if you want to understand how your metabolism works and how to adjust your lifestyle to get fit and lose fat forever this is the best book I've found. I tried another book that made sense but didn't work for me. I've only been following this one for a few days and already I'm feeling energised rather than sluggish as soon as I wake in the morning. Morning headaches have also disappeared. I'm not expecting a miracle weight loss but looking forward to sculpting my body and feeling healthier. Many years ago, having had 4 children close together, I lost the baby fat with Slimming World and weight training. I continued to be very active and work out roughly following Slimming World, eating lean meat, lots of veg and limited carbs. This worked for 20 years then post menopause with empty nest and a sedentary lifestyle I've piled on 5 stone. I thought I was too old to do anything about it but this book has motivated me to get off the couch, exercise and go back to sensible eating.

I found this book interesting, practical and easy to refer to. The way that the eating plan is explained around 'the science' was easy to understand and follow. I used the book mainly for the diet as I have been working out as the Metabollic Effect Diet has advised for some time but couldn't get my eating right. As the writers suggest the mainstream diets are focused on losing weight but this plan helps you lose fat and not muscle. I lost 10 lbs in 3 weeks and reduced my fat percentage and it was so easy and the important thing is that I am not hungry or craving rubbish any more. Definitely worth a read
