Solid Gold tablets are part of a dietary regimen I've had in place since male cat, at about age 4, stopped peeing, was diagnosed with struvite crystals in his urinary tract and underwent emergency surgery. That was about 3 years ago. Since then, he's been fine. A pH test at the vet last month showed him with spot-on perfect pH, according to the vet... 6.5 I think it was? I began giving him the Solid Gold tablets shortly after his surgery. I also feed him Hills and Purina urinary prescription dry food, and Purina wet food (prescription and non-prescription, both marketed for feline urinary conditions). As an aside, so-called "prescription food" -- containing no actual medicine -- from mfrs like Purina and Hills is an outrageous scam that helps mfrs justify their outrageous prices .... which have soared inordinately -- nearly 50% ! -- during these inflationary times. He also gets a lot of boiled shredded chicken, and any other human meats we happen to me eating. I also give him store-bought water to avoid the extremely hard water in my town's municipal supply. I can't pinpoint the role of Solid Gold tablets in his good urinary health, but they've certainly been a part of what has proven a recipe for success. His veterinarian also endorses their use as a supplement after I showed her the jar and explained the dietary regimen.

My dog doesn't necessary like these by themselves, but I put them in with her food and she will eat them. They work well and do what they are supposed to do. I also like that they are very reasonably priced and last a good amount of time. They are also not hard so they are better for dogs who are getting older or dogs that have issues with their teeth, common for smaller dogs. My cat would even take these when she seemed to have an issue. I have not given her them on a regular basis yet because she has not needed them, but they are something that I can definitely do.

My male cat has a 6-year history of recurrent UTIs due to crystals (he's one of those unlucky male cats that produces crystals no matter what - even with a diet of wet food and a urethrostomy surgery). It's been a constant battle. After his last 2 UTIs in a row (and once he finished his antibiotics) the vet recommended finding some type of cranberry supplement for cats so here I am. I've followed the dosage on the label and it's been a few weeks - and so far he hasn't had another UTI. I'm giving this 4 stars as it seems to be working but my cat definitely will not eat this on his own or crumbled in his food. I have to break it in half and crumble it in the side of his mouth - but it crumbles into a fine powder and he gets it down. I would not use this as a cure or treatment for the actual UTI (always take your cat to the vet for that) but so far it seems to be preventing the next one.

I recently adopted a new baby from the local Humane Society. She came to me pretty sick with worms, fleas, newly spayed, and underweight. A couple of days after she came home, we noticed that her spay incision appeared to be inflamed. Off to the vet we went! She was given antibiotics, healing proceeded. Of course with a 2 month old puppy, antibiotics gave her diarrhea! Not fun with a non potty trained pup! It took a week to get her stool back to normal. So when I noticed she had a UTI days later, I wanted to try to treat it without a prescription (also not fun with a non potty trained pup). I bought these chews and started her off with 2 a day, which showed gradual improvement. Then moved up to 3 chews a few days later. UTI was completely cleared up within a week and a half without meds! I still have her on a maintenance dose of 1 per day. These work well and I will be purchasing them again!

Seem to have helped my husband's dog.. we think she was developing an infection or something, since she's house trained but suddenly began having 'accidents'.. She also seemed to be having an allergic reaction too though, which we kind of confirmed was to grass.. after we mowed the tall grass down and kept her clean & inside- on a benadryl regimen for a couple wks.. so it could've been the allergy that was the problem..? Not sure. But even if these weren't the fix to the peeing problem (which IS gone now), she still liked the heck out of them lol. She found these to be quite tasty! 😆
