DECK NOT AS ADVERTISED. Box ...
DECK NOT AS ADVERTISED.Box looks the same, but inside - oh my! Instead of the lovely advertised deck with its refined line work and coloring, the cards have garish yellows and reds, flat greys, sickly institutional green, coarse lines, spotty skin tones, and the font from the original Rider-Waite. The backs of the cards are blurry, and while they feature the alternating red and white rose and lily flowers, this version has only 8 rows of four flowers, rather than the 12 rows of six flowers on the genuine version . So bummed that I will have to return this deck and try to find the one I wanted (and is being advertised in this listing) elsewhere.UPDATE 5.8.18: Seller contacted me, offered a full refund, and told me to keep the deck. They explained that Lo Scarabeo (the publisher) recently changed the deck to make it more historically accurate. I emailed Lo Scarabeo, who confirmed the seller is telling the truth. The link they sent to their site shows the deck I received. On close examination, the colors on the box of the newer deck are different (the Magician's table is red, not brown. The background behind him is flat yellow, not the lovely, softer, graded color. There is grey shading on the left-hand side of the Magician's white shirt. His cup is flat yellow.) I have contacted the seller and suggested they examine the boxes and update their listing, or if they have some of the older decks, to only sell those.

Not the Typeset Version
I can confirm what other recent reviewers have posted -- this is not the RWS deck you might be expecting. It is another instance of what we call over here the Rider-Waite-Smith deck. It is not the version with the typeset titles and a reworked color scheme.I purchased my copy hoping (yes) that the other reviewers received something different than I would. I was wrong. The seller has replaced some of the images in the listing, but one or two retain the typeset titles. It is truly unfortunate that Lo Scarabeo elected to do something other than what they were. This deck is no longer the interesting, desirable deck that was once available. Do not order expecting the previous version of the LS deck.

Not what was advertised
I was so excited to receive this deck and I even got it earlier than anticipated. My excitement quickly turned to disappointment once I opened the package and saw the cards. - The box and backs of cards are exactly what I thought I was getting, the card images are a different story. I expected beautifully recolored card images, instead I got the same RWS original images. I have no idea how this could happen. Needless to say, they are going back.

Very disappointed
If you have seen video reviews of this deck on youtube, you will be very disappointed. The packaging looks identical, the backs are the same, but the colors are flat, the faces are red, and the font of the titles is Pixie's calligraphy! While the calligraphy could be seen as an improvement, I doubt that Lo Scarabeo would have changed their superb coloring back to this crude version. This has to be a knock-off! I am returning the deck.Update: I just learned from a new youtube video by Hermit's Cave that this is not a knock-off. Lo Scarabeo changed the look of the deck in the most recent printing! Still disappointing, but now less confusing.

Go to Deck
Several reviews complained, rightly so, that the photos of cards did not match the cards received. (I understand that the manufacturer had changed the colorization of the deck.)I ordered this deck knowing I would receive the current less colorful version and I am completely satisfied with the coloring and quality of the cards. It has become my ‘go to’ deck.

This is not what you think!
This is not the ORIGINAL Lo Scarabeo Pamela Coleman Smith RWS deck. It is a new version with different backings and card coloring. Buyer BEWARE!

Nice Deck
I would compair this deck to the first 90s version of the Original Rider Waite deck by US Games printed in Belgium. Nice smooth non laminated card stock is what I like and this is it. This new deck has Pixie’s calligraphy and nice sepia tones, not as dark as the Centennial edition. Again, I would compair this deck to the 90s version of the Original Rider Waite deck printed in Belgium that is no longer in print and hard to find. I think Lo Scarabeo made the right decision to change back to the original format. I think the bad reviews are those who expected the first version and they received the change format. I own the Original RWS - China and Belgium print versions and the Centennial deck, and I like this one better.

My favorite version of this classic deck.
I've struggled to find a version of the RWS tarot that I really like and can use when I need to use this rather than a clone, or just want to use the classic images. This is a lovely version with wonderful jewel-tone coloring, great card stock and it's a good size. The tuck box is even decent quality in case you want to keep it in its box.

This is not the Pamela Colman Smith recolour!
If you are after the 'dirty Pam' deck with the deep and moody colours, this is not the one for you. Garish RWS colours with particularly blotchy linework and thin cardstock. Not impressed this is being sold as the same product, the reviews are all clearly for the recoloured deck which was not what I received. Not sure where the fault lies but it should be sold on a separate product page so people know what they're in for.

Great
I love these cards. Even though a couple of them have some black printing ink marks on them, they're still gteat and it's forgivable since I got them at a discounted price. I love the back pattern.

Worst ever tarot cards
Would give 0 stars if possible...Extremely overpriced for the quality, cheap mass production cards with plenty of discoloured details and very poor paper quality plus the "book" supplied is a joke...Colours are very poor and not expressive or vibrant at all.Not worth the paper they are printed onDon't be tricked- there are many cheaper and much better quality cads on AmazonWill be sending these back
