Great tube
I bought this tube to tame channel 3 on my EVH5150 Stealth and it's doing the job pretty well. So far the noise was reduced by almost 60% and that, is a big change on the EVH's

Legit 7025s
I took a chance on these based on the positive reviews and I was very pleasantly surprised. Many old Fenders call for 7025s and nobody else is making them today. Leo Fender was a notorious cheapskate so the fact that he used expensive 7025s in certain positions was not an accident. There was a NOTICEABLE drop in the noise floor of my Pro Reverb switching to these 7025s from perfectly good NOS 12AX7s. I am impressed. I would recommend these to anyone for any amp that calls for a 7025, or where you are hearing a lot of noise with ordinary 12AX7s.

Enhanced tone in a good way
I have a T C Electronic Tube Drive with a 12ax7 that is a phenomenal product on its own. Having read about the many, as in plethora of, variants and sub-outs, I chose the 7025. The stock tube is great but the Electro Harmonix has a depth of clarity and harmonic chime that is a bit better in my evaluation. Many decades ago I trained as a radio tech for the USAF and our avionics relied heavily on vacuum tubes. I know them well. This 7025 is everything I want or need for my guitar odyssey. My old 1980 Peavey Backstage Plus never sounded this good.

Good tube
When I moved my Fender Bassman across the county it sustained a broken preamp tube. I replaced it with this Electro-Harmonix. It is not as quiet as the original RCA 7025, but it's pretty close. If the 7025 in the other channel goes, I won't hesitate to replace it with this.
