This is a 5 piece kit but nowhere does is state what those 5 pieces are. What are they?

Will this system work if there is 24" in between studs? I am only wanting to hold up about 20 lbs, not the max of 1750.

yes.  I have put up many lengths of Rubbermaid's FT in a large garage ..including this one and each was terrific.  Have everything from rakes, brooms, chain saws, weedwhackers hanging from them.

Question 3

Would this work to organize items in a horse trailer?  I am wondering if the movement when driving will cause the hooks to slide around on the track?

There is two styles of hooks: Latch release and pressure clamp style. Latch release hooks slide pretty easy from side to side if there is no weight on them. However if you put even a little weight on the hooks then they are solid. You can increase the grip by getting some self adhesive rubber seal from any hardware store and attach it to the lower portion of the flat part of the hook that touches the wall. I used the one inch wide flat rubber seal for sealing speakers in an enclosure. I original did this so it would not rub silver on to the white paint on the wall when you bumped the hooks when removing the items hanging. Side benefit is the hooks don't slide even when they are unloaded.Pressure clamp hooks, are held in place by the design of the hook. You set them on to the track and push down. They lock in to place with force and will not move at all, loaded or unloaded.
