How do you attach the magnetic holder for the gels does not seem to fit on the Lume without forcing?

Looks as the other answers really doesn’t answer your question. I hope by now you got it taken care of. I have 3 lume cubes. 2 are 2.0 and 1 is the original... The magnet mount frame goes on with a lot of force. One edge has a curve in it. That is the side that that goes to the bottom where the 1/4 screw mount is. Put the frame to the front as flat as you can and using a massive amount of force it will snap on. All 3 of mine was like this. Every time I thought I’m going to break this. But you won’t. Once you put it on there is no need to ever take it off. Leave it on even when your not using magnetic mounted filters or barn doors. Hope this helps.

What are you able to see and control through the app (i.e. time left in battery, color temperature control, etc.)?

You can control the brightness, color temperature, strobe speed, and turn on the optical slave flash with the Lume Cube app. -Lume Cube Team

How long does light last on a full charge ?

A few hours BUT this thing is WAY overpriced, probably because it is marketed to filmmakers. I found a 750 Lumen light with multiple magnet mounts, hooks, water proof, laser pointer and it charges my iphone for about $35. Made by a company called NEBO, look it up. I use this MUCH more than the overpriced CUBE.

Can you leave it plugged in and running for a few hours?

It depends on your brightness setting. Too high and it won't.

Parcialmente decepcionado con este artículo, estuve pensándolo por días hasta que me decidí por el lume cube en lugar de el el gopro light mod por las características que ofrecía sobre éste último, y al llegar y abrir el paquete, no contiene los difusores de luz que en la descripción del producto dice que incluye y que fue también por lo que me había decidido por este por encima de el gopro light mod, y los difusores de luz cuestan más caro comprándolos individualmente, mejor haré la devolución del artículo y compraré el gopro light mod.

I'm not going to repeat product description here. IMO it's all true - great quality built, quality light etc. There is one caveat I want you to know which is not anywhere in the description or their website. Lume Cube can only be charged with USB-A to USB-C cable like the one supplied with it. It can not be charged with USB-C to USB-C cable. No matter what your source of power is. Though you can charge it from devices with USB-C outputs using A to C cable and male C to female A adaptor. It is not a dealbreaker for me, but I wish I knew it beforehand.
