Warm, and Good for Layering, and Great for Cold Rides!
I picked up the medium black 250 and it’s been perfect for cold weather riding and chilly workdays. I’m 5'10" and 180 lbs, and while the fit is a bit loose, the length is perfect. After 2 years of regular use, it’s still going strong—just a minor hole at the ankle, easily hidden by socks. Pros: ✅ Great Cold-Weather Warmth (250 Weight) – Warm enough that I haven’t needed to upgrade to 320 ✅ Ideal for Motorcycle Rides & Cold Work Days – Keeps me warm without bulk ✅ Socks Are High Quality – Cozy and well-made ✅ Durable Over Time – Still in good shape after 2 years Cons: ❌ Slightly Loose Fit (Medium on 5'10", 180 lbs) – Not overly baggy, just not snug ❌ Minor Wear – Small hole near ankle, but nothing major Final Thoughts: Whether you’re riding in the cold or braving freezing temps at work, this base layer does the job exceptionally well. Warm, breathable, and built to last—an excellent investment for cold-weather comfort.

Best long johns I've ever owned !
The Merino Wool Base Layer Mens Bottom Pants are very warm, soft and comfy. I bought the Heavyweight, 320g bottoms, and I was worried about them being too thick, they're not that thick at all, they are perfect, very, very comfortable and warm. I was golfing with them in 40 degree weather with 12 mph wind and my legs were not cold at all, plus they were not too warm either, actually just right. I didn't where anything but a t-shirt, polo shirt, and light wind proof Foot Joy golf jacket on top, but my chest and arms were not as comfy warm, as my legs were, even though I was wearing thin golf pants over the Merino bottoms. I live in a cold, northern, climate and have bought many, many, different types of "long Johns" and these are by far the best I've ever bought. When it comes to bottom layer long johns, I think they should be snug, but not too tight, I have a 33 inch waist and a 32 inch inseam and their medium size fit me perfect!

Great Healthy Underpants!
I bought size small of these...they fit just right really...not real tight, but I don't need them that tight, they're tight enough and feel great...they actually remind me of nylons and make me feel like I am some sexy lady but they are made of a much healthier material and do keep my legs plenty warm in this cold weather we've been having, itleast when I wear them underneath my jeans or pants and do not make my legs sweat when I am in my house at all, although my house isn't very warm...

Happy customer.
I've been wearing this merino wool Base Layer and it's been awesome—especially when that unexpected snowstorm hit. The 100% superfine 17.5-micron merino wool is super soft, never itchy, and doesn’t feel heavy or bulky, even after a full day out. The warmth is impressive, and I love how the wool's moisture-wicking keeps me dry and comfy no matter the conditions. The fit is just right, with no bunching or overheating, which is a big upgrade from regular cotton. The packaging was actually pretty cool, and the included merino hiking socks are a nice extra. My feet was dry by the end of the day. My only hesitation is about the care instructions—it says to hand wash and lay flat, but I’m tempted to try the washer to see how it does. I liked my Smartwool before because you could just toss it in the washer, but that was only 81% wool. Overall, I'm really happy with this one! I bought 2 more.

A well needed base layer
Very comfortable, provides satisfactory warmth in sub freezing weather, like 18° F they are not to warm up to 65 F, under regular thin jeans. Fit was very good. Most comfortable wool base layer I have bought in 30 years.

Value for the money
These were the best quality I have found. The fit was perfect and they were so soft. A nice touch was the free socks that were included! Great for the winter months in Ohio.

Warm and soft. Almost too warm.
I wore these during a trip to Antarctica. Nice and warm, almost too warm really. It was about 30 degrees and I wore these under waterproof bibs. I had the uppers too but those were just too hot under the parka the tour required I wear. So yeah, they do their job and will probably become my go-to when I'm hunting in northern Michigan.

Good mid-weight leggings/base layer, I have a number of these type but these are much thicker and warmer, well made and high waist so they stay up
