I have never had raw wheat germ. I love the toasted kind from the grocery store and I didn’t expect this to taste so different. It’s bitter. Don’t get me wrong, it seems fresh and high quality but I really have to work hard to mask the taste. I mix it into oatmeal with lots of spices. Not sure if I will buy it again.

Wheat germ has been difficult to find in Honolulu. (Would you believe that a shop keeper tried to sell us wheat bran as a substitute? Bah!) This was fresh and flavorful, as well as being available! 😊 It worked well for our smoothies, muffins and sprinkled generously on my happy Dad’s fresh fruit with tahini breakfasts

I've always used kretschmer toasted wheat germ but decided to search on Amazon for other alternatives. Glad I decided on this one. Tried the 1lb pack first but quickly got the bigger one after. I put this in my morning breakfast cereal. This thing is packed with so much nutrients. My skin looked so much smoother when I keep it in my diet. Very good to put in kids food for their growing brains. I've been using wheat germ for more than 10 years and will continue to buy this in the raw form as long as it's available. I keep in the refrigerator after opening.
