As you likely know, R-1.6 is NOT what anyone camping would call "thermally insulated"...that is ridiculous. For instance, a fairly uncomfortable closed cell foam reflective-coated pad is around R-2.1. Most pads that claim thermal insulation, that would be good 3+ season pads, would be R-4 or more.

Is this pad noisy? I have heard aome very noisy pads.

A little. Not as noisy as my friend's Big Agnes Pad, probably about the same as the rustling sound that my sleeping bag makes, just more because the sleeping pad does it too. I used a microfiber pack towel under it, to absorb condensation from the tent and keep it from sliding around when sleeping on an incline, it worked fairly well and quieted it down a little.

How does inflating bag work? I can’t figure it out

Advertisement states that it is less than 1/2 a second to inflate. Actually shows 0.45 sec. This is clearly not true. There's nothing wrong with 1 or 2 minutes to inflate, but why advertise 0.45 sec??
