Great little tool for little readers in training!
I like how small and portable it is. My daughter is very interested on making new words. It keeps her engaged. We even do it on the bed before bed time and on the road. It's a perfect size too that I can throw into my purse and always have it on me, so we can strengthen her reading skills anywhere we go. Super fun and great quality!

Love them.
I wrote a review with Amazon but they didn't post it so....here I will go again. I really like these and my 3 year old son loves these. They are just the right size for little hands. He can sound out the phonic letters to make the word. And if you have an object or photo of an object that shows what the word spells it will make it that much better. I use it along with the montessori moveable alphabet. The words are words. They are all phonic CVC words. I will support a parent making things versus a china company any day. Shipping was very fast and the packaging was really thoughtful.

Very nice blocks - not very entertaining for 2 year old
Solid and durable reading blocks. I have to admit my 2 year old is not at all entertained by these although the blocks are of solid and sound construction, look nice, rotate nicely and safe (solid wood) to play with. I have a large supply of Montessori themed toys and activities in a large play room so it may just be that other items are more entertaining such as magnetic tiles, water table, painting, chalk board, markers, playdoh, train table with trains and cars, etc...My son seems to prefer reading, sand paper flash cards and magnetic letters/numbers for learning words, etc...

Great for beginner readers
These rotating blocks are very well made. They are perfect for beginning readers to practice one- syllable words with short vowels.

Phonetic Reading and Word identifications
I liked this product because as most parents and people who have children, work with them and teach them, know that children today are very cognizant of their surroundings and pick up words even though they may not know the word(s) mean. This is one of many reasons many people need to watch their words when children are near. This Reading Block is a fun item for our three year old grandson. Working with the words that he can identify with, my wife not only is teaching him the alphabet with this reading block but also helping him identify the word via his surroundings. For example, my son recently bought a floor rug for the den and our grandson immediately identified the item as a 'rug' when he brought it in the house. Connecting the word to the actual item around the home is now a fun game that our grandson likes to play.

Five Stars
I absolutely love these adorable blocks! I wish I had them when I was teaching K5. This would have been yet another way of getting phonics in front of them. They are small and perfect for little hands. Some of the words are strange but it comes with a card with all of the definitions. I think that is an added bonus! A chance to introduce and talk about new vocabulary. Ask them to read the word, then give them the definition, and ask them to use it in a sentence! I only have a 1 year old now, but I use it for my online ESL classes. My students find it an intriguing and different way to practice!

As described, so read the description carefully.
I should have paid closer attention to the dimensions of this item. The blocks are quite small(see pictures and dimensions on the listinf). My 3 year old who likes to use the moveable alphabets to sound out words has not been too interested in these. I wish all the words were everyday words. My child is unsure when the word sounded out is so foreign. Not the greatest value for money but it is as described on the page so read the description carefully. I do like that the font is familiar since it is the same as other Montessori material. It also seems well made and sturdy.
