My 5yo son LOVES this game. He’ll play it on his own as well which is super fun to see. This is our second one because it didn’t make it home after a show and share at school and he was devastated.

I saw these EXIT games in the lobby of an escape room we visited. So I was curious on how a little box could actually hold a whole escape room experience. My review is not for this edition per say, since we have not done it yet. But it's the 4th EXIT game I buy. They are really fun. Well made. Surprising. We were quite skeptical at first, but are now sold on them. Perfect when you don't want to dish out the 100$ (cos of course us parents pay for the whole family!). At a fraction of the price, you get a whole evening of fun. So for a family of 4, it takes us a good 2 to 3 hours to get through one. The first one was a little longer since we had to comprehend the whole process... but the concept is relatively the same in each one. But, there are always new twists and surprises in each one so it never gets boring. I would highly recommend to anyone who likes escape rooms or even for someone who wants to try it before going to an escape room... get you brain trained to think outside the box.

This was our second EXIT game and our first at a level 2. Our first one was a gift and was level 3 so we decided to try a lower level before we kept moving up with levels (figuring it would be more entertaining to do the lower levels while we were still new to the games). Level 2 was definitely easier and the puzzles were more straightforward but I think they are still challenging for someone without puzzle or escape room experience. Things we noticed: - 2 of us completed this game. While it says more players can play, many of the puzzles can really only be done by 1 or 2 players. Additional players can help with brainstorming but not everyone can physically do every puzzle. - The level 2 was more linear. Level 3 seemed much more multi-layered - Keep in mind this game can only be played once and items get destroyed in the process of solving. This point will help you not only solve puzzles but also give you an idea of the cost value (which is still extremely low compared to an actual escape room)

Gave this to my nephew for Christmas and he absolutely loved it. He's 6, and it was the perfect length and complexity for him.
