Which mayonnaise recipe was used in the 70's. I've been eating Hellmans all my life. Not onis the taste different, the consistency is different.

I've been using Best Foods mayonnaise for over 60 years. I haven't noticed a change in consistency or flavor. Hellmans and Best Foods are the same product. It just depends in what part of the country you live as to which one you can buy. When we are younger eating something it has a different feel in our mouth compared to being an adult. Our taste buds change with age.
