I searched for months to find an adhesive to secure phenolic resin material to end-grain wood, making croquet mallets. I tested at least a dozen adhesives and all of them failed, except for this one. I tried it because of testing that someone reported on a knife-making site -- phenolic resins materials are often used for handles of custom knives. This epoxy has a very long set time (clamp for 24 hours), which also gives you plenty of time to positions the materials. It is the strongest bond I have ever seen from any adhesive. It is BLACK so you do have to protect your work from it ( I used masking tape). It may not work this well with all materials, but for wood to phenolic resins, it is lights out.

I recommend leaving overnight
This appears to be a very strong epoxy. It holds tenaciously, but understand that this epoxy requires a fair amount of time to set. I recommend leaving overnight.
