Used to create line in to iPhone - does the job exactly how I wanted
The M-Audio M-Track Solo is an excellent USB audio interface, especially for its size and price. Setup was quick and painless - plug it in and you’re good to go. The sound quality is clean and clear. I've used it to connect my DJ Decks to this and then using the USB output to my mobile phone. This provides my phone with a direct line in to record videos of me performing at home, that I can upload to Instagram etc. Build quality feels sturdy, the controls are straightforward, and it does exactly what it’s meant to do without any unnecessary complications. If you want a no-nonsense, reliable audio interface that delivers great sound for the money, the M-Track Solo is a fantastic choice.

Great for home guitar recording
I use the M-AUDIO M-Track Solo USB mainly for recording guitar with AmpliTube, and it works really well. Setup was super easy — just plug it into my PC and it was ready to go with minimal configuration. The instrument input handles the guitar cleanly, with no noticeable noise, and the latency is low enough that I can play and record comfortably. The sound quality is clear and detailed, even when using virtual amps in AmpliTube. It’s small and portable, so it doesn’t take up much desk space, and the headphone output is handy for monitoring while recording. Overall, a simple, reliable audio interface that’s perfect for guitarists doing home recordings.

Easy to set up and reasonably priced
My son needed this for his software . Quite surprised how really priced it was and as soon as he set it up his computer programme found it straight away.

Great bit of kit worth more than what you're paying for sure
People cry over this but it's actually really good. No it's not like the expensive alternatives... Obviously... But for what you're paying it's 100% recordable and produced suitable demos. I recorded a demo on this recently and it turned out great for just a demo. Did the job nicely. Easy to use. Light weight, sml, portable, nice design. Sound quality with my e906, a fender Amp and a fender jazzmaster vintera 62 and some reverb, distortion, flange, chorus and delay sounded awesome. People gna cry because it isn't a focusrite, nor is it £200 like a focusrite... What do you expect lol... Honestly, if you're just doing demo work, ideas, starting out at recording etc. It's totally usable. I'd you're beyond that and wanting to lay proper tracks down to release to spotify, focusrite is recommended obviously. But ignore the haters if this is your budget you won't be disappointed I wasn't and I have the budget for the focusrite, which i do own, but I had to lay a track down quick in the usa and so used this at $40 and was perfect for what I needed it for.

Works but doesn’t at the same time
It’s allows audio input and is a very cheap and affordable option, the main issue I have with it is that whenever I open a high demanding application such as a game or editing software it tends to cut out and I have to keep plugging it back in for it to work or have the input reset by voice meter automatically I’m not sure how to fix this issue but other than that it’s perfectly fine

Using to connect electric guitar to PC and Mac
I use this to connect my guitar to PC and Mac, then I respectively use Guitar Rig 6 and GarageBand for effects. After installing drivers from M-Audio site, I connect my guitar to the Instrument input (one with Line/Guitar icon) and I choose guitar from the switch. I then connect the USB output to a PC. Also connected my PC Speakers to the RCA outputs on the back (RCA cable not included). When I run Guitar Rig 6, I go to settings, choose ASIO as device, then M-Track Solo. On the Guitar Rig UI, I choose the R input, since the L input is microphone with this device. This setup effectively turns my PC into guitar amp + effects. I can get low latency output from my speakers and also from headphone output. For PC, if you want to hear output from PC speakers instead, you have to download asio4all drivers (free) from internet and install. Then you can use multiple devices for input output. In Mac, Garage Band has this option out of the box. Lastly, I measured the latency between direct input and output for the device by connecting output directly to output with a cable and used RTL Utility (free software) to measure the latency around 10-12 ms which is good enough for me. Two slightly annoying things for me: - Would be good to have an On/Off button. When I dont use the device, it makes a very low humming voice from speakers and only way to stop it is to disconnect device from PC or remove guitar input. - Would be good to enable/disable/control volume of headphone and RCA output separately. When I need to use headphones at night, I need to disconnect RCA cable, otherwise sound also comes from speakers.

Works welll
Using with my AT2020 mic and AKG K240s, the gain dial is a bit sensitive with the mic but overall works well for home recording, very good value and easy to set up

Top notch product. Midi latency dropped from 60ms to 8 ms on abelton live Works as intended and looks premium too.
