I had high hopes for these. I should have known that cast aluminum wouldn't hold up. If your doors are having a hard time opening in older model trucks, it is worth it to take off the door panel and make sure the bracket is solid. I managed to snap one of these after 2 months because my brackets we busted. Being metal I had hoped they would bend a bit before they broke, but alas. Instead I welded the brackets to the door and welded a steel rod to the bolt that holds on the handle. Best new door handle ever!

I replaced the inside door handles on my 1995 Ford F-150. The factory put Locktite on the threads of the screw, so be careful not to used too much force or you might break the screw or round the 8mm head. Once out, go to an auto parts store and get new 6M x 1.0 screws because the original ones have Locktite and grit in the threads and original screw gets really tight about half when you install the new handle. Add a new flat and lock washer to the new screw and run the screw all the way in to clean out any Locktite and grit in the threads. You will need at least a 9" socket extension to make the job easier. Be careful not to cross thread the new screw. Take your time using your fingers to get the screw started.

Put on my 1993 F350. They are a night and day difference from the original plastic pieces. Not hard to put on.

This was a great metal replacement for the faded/aged plastic door pulls on my 1988 F250. After removing the door panel, I removed/reinstalled them with an impact driver and socket (which may be needed as the angle for accessing the bolt is a little odd...and there is definitely factory installed blue thread locker on the bolt itself that will make it more difficult to remove).

These are much better than the oem plastic ones that came on the truck, lot better than I expected!
