Q: Does it come with a shoulder strap?

No, it doesn't come with a shoulder strap.

Q: What is up with the smell and how can it be helped?

I ordered black and didn't notice a smell. I have washed the previous one I bought in the washing machine and air dried. Maybe try that.

Q: Will the lunch size fit my 7l*5w rectangular box?

I took a container that measured 8.75" x 6" and it fit into the bottom of the lunch box. It was snug, but it did fit. The container that I used was rounded at the corners, but a square-cornered container would have worked, as well.

Q: I’m seeing that there is not a strap - are there rings for a strap to be able to be used w it?

Not with this bag. There are other similar neoprene tote bags that do have the straps, but this particular model does not.

Nice lunch bag , bought it for the misses and she loves to take it to work.Very good size.Fits her lunch bag , water, coffee mug, snacks , veges/fruits container and more.Will buy again.
