This is without question the best succinct review of Internal Medicine for residents to seasoned clinicians. Easy to read chapters with great visuals. The way this latest edition is written should be a good standard for all medical books. Worth the purchase. Find it better than Up-to-Date in ease to read and much more informative. A Best Buy!

Highly recommend for any IM/FM residents. Time is of essence during residency and this book provides a great practical overview of general medicine without diving into a giant text like Goldman-Cecil or Harrisons.

Concise, reliable and accurate review, excellent source for a board exam.

I own the Harrison and sometimes I study with them side by side. It's a good book if you need to study a complex topic in a short amount of time or short amount of words

The best textbook of internal medicine

This is assigned to my M2 class for a lot of our learning and it is not a good way to introduce concepts and give clear understanding to students. Probably good for physician reference but I don’t find much value in it at this point in my learning. I guess that doesn’t make it a bad text, we are just using it for the wrong purpose. It is well written for when you are looking up specific treatment for a specific disease. Extremely dry, kiln-fired text.
