These are just the right amount of both firm/soft for practicing yoga in home with all tile floors. The 'softness' doesn't allow too much give to where you become unsteady in your balance and inversion practice and it saves you from the harshness of the tile. My only complaints are: 1) They do tend to slide on the tile because there's not enough traction on the bottom. 2) Even with using a yoga mat on top of these pieces, when doing activities such as mountain climbers/or if you fall from an inversion and your feet push out, where you're pushing away the pieces -- and the pieces have a difficult time staying together. They are a cheap alternative to the solid gym floor mats, and easy to put together/take apart for storage, so they are something I can use for now. If you're looking for something more long-term and solid, I'd suggest purchasing a product that comes as a solid piece.

These mats are perfect for the babies that are learning to crawl or tummy time. We loved them and we will always have them in the house for the kids. Easy to clean also. Only downfall is my cat loves them also so we have to keep some up to replace them.

We purchased to go under the floor of our outdoor shower enclosure. I gave it 4 stars because it didn’t work so well on the grassy, slightly uneven surface. No fault of the manufacturer. It was easy to assemble and would stay together well in a firm, even surface. Bright side-the pieces are large enough that just one placed where we need it works quite well in our shower!

These are definitely worth buying - my only recommendation would be: make sure you buy enough to cover the floor the first time you order. I measured incorrectly originally, so I had to reorder twice and the new tiles didn't quite fit exactly with the other tiles and had a slightly different color. Still, no big deal, but make sure you get more than enough tiles up front. Very easy to put together and easy to cut as needed.

I bought the 4 count first and it worked but I wanted them to cover more space so I bought the 6 pack hoping they could all connect together. They don't. So I was going to use the 6 count in another area but even that set doesn't match!! I got to the very end and the pieces don't match....so the set I bought doesn't work (see second pic) I am returning it
