It will work on plastic but you need to get the shine off the plastic with fine sandpaper.It needs a good clean surface. You will also need the black primer to give the "real" chrome look.

Yes, and no you don't want to use it. It says for inside use only, and looks nothing like chrome. You would do just as good buying a regular can of chrome spray paint at Walmart for a lot less. I was very disappointed.
