"Family entertainment about a talking puppy"
A boy, Josh (Michael Weiss), finds an abandoned puppy living in a shack near his home. He wants to bring the puppy home, but his parents (Dana Plato and Miles O'Keefe) keep telling him that he can't have a dog. Meanwhile, he is sneaking milk out of the house to feed the puppy, whom he names "Tiger". One day the puppy talks to him. The two become friends, talking like regular people. Eventually, Josh's father lets him keep Tiger with some help from his three siblings and their mother. Tiger disappears and it is suspected that he has been stolen by two neighborhood boys. The scene between Josh and his older brother John, when they attempt to locate Tiger with the aid of an alien looking helmet is comical and has a Twilight Zone twist to it. Suffice to say, Tiger is rescued. There is a scene at a humane society that even Bob Barker would probably be proud of. I give this movie a rating of "G", as the only swear word in it is "damn", and it is spoken by a child. This is a movie the whole family can enjoy. The special feature to this DVD is the optional Spanish subtitles.
