I'm using this to rehab my hand. I roll the balls in my hand both clockwise and counter clockwise. The weight is heavy enough to put a little resistance in the roll which helps individual fingers gain strength in movement without over tiring.

Nice size and weight - just as described. These balls roll against each other with very little friction which is my preference. I use them for rehab on an injured hand plus strength/dexterity drills for both hands. Working the balls has a mild effect of reducing arthritic pain and stiffness as well. I found it amazing how much concentration it takes to use these - and that just a minute is enough to generate mild fatigue in the hand. Many persons going through hand rehab or simply with stiff, arthritic hands can benefit by just a minute or two in each hand per day. Using the balls will leave a slight metallic smell on your hands, but this is not a flaw - just a result of the chemistry of your skin in warm, extended contact with the material. The pouch is a big winner for me as the perfect way to keep the balls together in a very compact space easy to keep next to your easy chair or elsewhere. These are great boading balls with a very handy little felt contain pouch.

These Baoding balls have a nice weight to them and the quality is great. I'm looking forward to getting the copper ones.

I like these for meditation balls since they don't chime. They are exact size and weight as the listing. These are heavy which helps me build hand strength while spinning them around in my hands. The case works well and has a little carpet piece loose that you can put between the balls so they wont make noise against each other. I have used them for months and dropped them many times on office flooring and the finish has not cracked or chipped. They don't have any scratches either.
