I love the cut of this night gown and the way it flows at the bottom. I purchased the 3X. I'm 290 with DDD bra size. It fits pretty good. However the breast area is a bit short and does not fully cover my entire area from top to bottom...but still, it's pretty enough. I sowed together all of the spaces between the buttons so there are no gaps. This can almost be worn as a summer dress.

I didn’t get a chance to open the package right away but since I’ve purchased a number of these nightgowns this year I felt assured of the quality I’ve come to expect from them. WELL, when I went to open it I was confused at first:1. The item package didn’t look right, it was just in a plastic bag WITHOUT the organza sleeve and usual cardboard paper.2. It was VERY WRINKLED instead of usually coming crisp and nicely folded over a cardboard paper insert.3. When I took it out of the plastic bag I saw right away that IT WAS RIPPED! The buttonhole was aggressively torn and damaged!I bought this one at the full price too!HONESTLY THIS ITEM LOOKS USED AND ABUSED! The wrinkly appearance makes me suspect it was even worn and carelessly washed by someone.- I have this same model nightgown in another color I’ve had for months and I’ve never had problems with the buttonholes being fragile. ALSO, I handwash and hang-dry all of my nightgowns from this brand and mine don’t look wrinkly like that as if someone left it to rot half dry in a dryer!DISAPPOINTED AND OFFENDED.

I love "One for U" gowns, absolutely handmade 100% pure woven cotton cloth. I have 2 each of three other designs. But for this particular gown am concerned when it shrinks. (I am wt210/5'3") I've ordered XXXL /3X in 2 others designs of "One for U" gowns which had plenty of room. This is slender fitting. The pretty yoke is a bit high; it has dart to give slight form fitting, this would probably fit better on a youthful figure, not an older woman with sagging breasts. Took and stitched the yoke inbetween the buttons so it wouldn't gap. I'm keeping both I ordered. Would order a size larger and consider if how the yoke, fits barely at the bottom edge of the breast line if this will work for you.

I ordered this cute, summery nightgown because we are going through a major heatwave here in California. The nights are miserable. Our 1890s Victorian home does not have air conditioning and the other night it was a sweltering 97 degrees inside! So, I thought this would be the perfect nightgown for the hot weather since cotton is so breathable.My first impression was that the nightgown is adorable and just what I expected. I wanted something with that Victorian flair as it would be something a woman would have worn back in the 1800s when my home was first built. I was impressed with the high quality of the gown. It came cutely packaged in an outer bag that would make it perfect for gift-giving. You can tell the company takes pride in their product.Now, here is my issue and the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five. The sizing is way off. I read this in prior reviews and thought I had adjusted for this problem. Instead of ordering a medium which I would usually do, I ordered a small. I am 5' 2" and weigh about 124 lbs. I normally wear a small or medium depending on the brand/designer. However, I ordered the small because of the prior reviews. I definitely should have ordered the x-small. Trust the reviews, when in doubt---go smaller!Anyway, the bottom line is I returned it. *sad face* However, I was so impressed with the quality that I ordered an x-small in a different style that may be more accommodating to size variances. My recommendation is a definite YES on the product, with a precautionary word to order smaller.To the company, I would just like to say keep making these beautiful, Victorian gowns. I can't wait to find the one that is perfect for me!

The One For U Ruby, is my go to long gown this summer. This gown looks feminine and delicate, it feels cool and comfortable, it is holding up beautifully. Ruby is another gown with wonky sizing, I generally wear a medium to large in gowns or pj's. I like my sleepwear to fit loose. In this gown I purchased a medium and had to exchange for a small. Ignore the "sizes" and order by measurements. I couldn't believe I could wear a "small", even though that is what my measurements chart said to order. I'm 5'4" 150lbs, 38C. I have been washing my gowns on delicate, in cold water and hanging to dry. I've had no shrinkage and no need to iron. Just another small reason to love these gowns!Ruby is the gown I've looked for for years. I love the Victorian style with all the embellishments, the embroidery, the delicate buttons, the ruffles. 100% cotton is so comfortable on cold nights of winter and even better on the hot nights of summer. The fabric used in these gowns is heavy enough not to be sheer but light enough to still be comfortable. My hubby likes the way it looks too.Very happy with purchase, ordering another soon. Would recommend for anyone who likes Victorian styling, you can't go wrong with The 1 For U, Ruby or any other.

After reading in many reviews that this nightgown runs big, I adjusted the size I ordered. Normally I would order a large. I ordered a medium instead. It fits the way I would expect the large size to fit. The straps are great. They are thin enough to be comfortable and they stay up because of the way the straps and neckline are made. Under the arms are cut in such a way that there is ample room for movement and still plenty of coverage. While there are buttons up and down the front, it is roomy enough to slip on over my head. This gown is comfortable to sleep in, even for those who toss and turn during the night. I would prefer the yoke be longer or shorter as it hits me in an odd place. From the top of the strap to the bottom of the yoke on the medium is 13 1/2 inches. Some reviewers mentioned the gown arriving wrapped in a decorative sleeve. Mine came wrapped in the normal plastic bag. Just something to consider if you are ordering as a gift and expect the decorative sleeve. I am very selective about my nightgowns. I would recommend trying this one.

I've been looking at these nighties for a while. There are a lot of good reviews but the negative reviews concerned me.I looked at them again yesterday and ordered knowing I could send it back if I don't like it.My goodness, I tried it on tonight and it's a perfect fit.... I love it so much.I actually feel femanine in it.Yes, I would certainly buy again when you get more colours in my size.Mega quick delivery, nicely packed, the driver was so lovely and polite (that could be because I take in all my neighbours Amazon parcels though 😂😂)Thank you so much

Lovely cotton, embroidery only on the front, there is not much of a gather as appears in the pictures and consequently if like me your pear shaped the material is not very generous under the yoke of the nightie. Ive had to add long triangle side panels to allow extra material for hips and movement in the night. I might use this one as a pattern to make myself some more with additional material gathering and embroidery back and front. - not as good as I had hoped considering the cost, most of the workmanship is in the front yoke.

lovely. I am an xl but like large flowing nighties so have bought 3xl and 4xl. what I have found is that 3xl works with the sleeveless nighties and 4xl works better for sleeves as unfortunately at 67 I have bat wings. so had to alter the armhole by 2 inches which is fine and worked well. would recommend

This nightdress is lovely and good quality cotton. It is quite had to find pure cotton nighties and these are a find. The nightdress is quite roomy and I ordered a medium. Normally I am size 12-14. Would certainly buy these again.

I bought two of these because I needed button through after breaking my upper arm/shoulder . I cut one side at the shoulder and fir the time I needed them they performed well. But I haven’t worn them since the accident because I found this is not the softest of cottons. Needed intense ironing.
