Q: Will this work on a 1996 f250?

It will work with any system aux tank. All this does is divert where your pump draws from. I had it installed in my 2006 F250 and now on my 2016 F350.However, if you're using s sending unit in the aux tank you will have to make sure it's the same ohm range for empty/full. On my 2016 the sending unit is 10 ohm full-180 ohm empty.

Q: Does it work with in-line fuel pump ?

Yes it will you may need to do a little more wiring in conjunction with the pump control

Q: Does it work on In tank fuel pumps

Mine is not an intank pump but it's been working well for over two years. I can't see why this wouldn't work with an in tank pump though.
