I used this charger for the month I couldn't drive and it worked like a charm. It kept my battery fully charged and turned off when it was fully charged. Very easy to use, even for a lady who knows practically nothing about car chargers.

The product does what it advertises to do.

This charger works great to keep my trailer batterys charged up during the week being it runs off a 12v system. It's very nice not having to remember to remove a charger. It's small, compact and does not take up hardly any room to leave in my battery box.

I tried this thing out on 3 batteries. it's like it is preset to read the same thing no matter what kind of batteries they are, and of course the return date runs out before it can be tried out.I've got to quit buying crap from amazon..

Couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t charge until I saw in the manual it said the battery had to have 4v for safety. The battery I was trying to charge was completely dead so it was useless for me. Probably a fine product but didn’t say anywhere about not being able to charge a dead battery under 4v.

I bought the Shell Battery Charger & Maintainer because my car battery kept dying in the cold weather and I can’t tell you how nifty this charger was. I’ve now used it in freezing temperatures and in the rain and it has no problem. There are also 11 charging stages which help ensure your battery is getting the correct voltage preventing over charging. Definitely worth the money I spent!

I bought this device to replace a 4A Deltran Battery tender/charger where the output cable insulation frayed right next to the strain relief. Very disappointing, as the circuit board and enclosure was very high quality.The "Shell" branded product works perfectly to keep my vehicles' batteries happy when it's -30C for weeks. The input and output cables are long enough, and it comes with both battery clips and ring terminals for permanent installation. While I wish the cables were insulated with neoprene or silicone rubber to stay flexible in the Canadian winter, I'll just have to be more gentle with the PVC insulated cables.
