WIND RIVER is a chilling thriller that follows a rookie FBI agent (Elizabeth Olsen) who teams up with a game tracker with deep community ties and a haunted past (Jeremy Renner) to investigate the mysterious killing of a local girl on a remote Native American reservation. Review: One cannot afford to blink! - This is be a landmark movie story for me. The tragedy and I suspect the reality of the crime could bring a just man to tears; and all too often through some drunk psycho and his mates delivering the worst in human nature on minority women. I have seen it and experienced the actions of groups like this throughout my life and it never changes. Gritty yes, reality yes, and if I could fix this I would without question or hesitation. And I remember when my youngest went abroad with a girlfriend during her teens. The fears arose, fatherly protection came into play and concerns were raised. One cannot afford to blink! Superb acting, location amazing, storyline a reality. I tip my hat. That was both moving and brilliant. Will remain with me for a long time. Review: Great film - This is a taut thriller with beautiful scenery as a backdrop, great acting and a fine script. It was so good that I watched it a second time the following day. So good...

Really good film
Very good watch with interesting story and good acting. If you have watched Mayor of kingstown ( I recommend this also to you as a really good series) some of the cast follow in this film. It will keep you glued as the film moves around from animal hunter to man hunter. Don't want to give anything away so you best watch and judge for yourself .

Really enjoyable film
The film is was shot on a First Nation reservation with the discovery of a dead body by a professional game and wildlife protection officer, this leads to the local police and a lone FBI agent tasked to resolve a murder case. Th FBI agent asks the game protection officer for help following some astute observations made from the crime scenes which in view of the time of year (winter) and the conditions and the fact he lost this own daughter following tragic circumstances he agrees to do. The film provides an atmosphere of depression and resignation from the the people in this reservation that comes from a historical exploitation and indifference shown to the culture and beliefs. The plot seems straightforward but the interplay of the cast and the history of the area with the main character leads to a tense and suspenseful ending which disturbs with its violence, I do not now how I missed this film when it was originally released but I am glad I bought a copy and fully recommend it to anyone looking for realistic and well acted film.

Cory Lambert is a hunter/tracker who, while on the job, finds the body of a young woman in the snow. After raising the alert, FBI Agent Jane Banner arrives on the scene to investigate. With scant resources and people reluctant to talk, the pair work together to solve the crime. This film is beautifully shot and acted, telling a tragic story of the death of a young woman and the links to the actual events that took place in Cory Lambert's life. The film is bleak in message and in location, set in the wilds of frozen Wyoming with residents who don't have much to do or live for. The pacing is good and the conclusion brings the loose threads together well. This film plays out well on Blu-ray, with lots of sweeping landscapes to view and good colours and detail. The dts-HD MA audio provides great ambient effects but I did find the voices quite difficult to understand at times, and I also needed to dial up the volume more than I would normally do. 4.5 stars.

PELÍCULA INTERESANTE, MUY BRUSCA, PERO LOS PAISAJES DE NIEVE EXCELENTES. ES UN ACTOR QUE HE DESCUBIERTO NO HACE MUCHO TIEMPO Y ME PARECE BASTANTE CORRECTO.

Unbedingt sehenswert.
