You can pay over $10 for one anywhere else. These are a fraction of the price. Giving them to everyone who I gifted a Luminara candle to. Be sure to remove the plastic pull tab before using. They will not work while the tab is in place. This is there to protect the remote until ready for use. Just pull it straight out and you're ready to go. You need to be rather close to the candle for it to work but it saves having to turn the candle upside down in order to turn it off.

My Luminary remote control stopped working and replacing the battery didn't help, so I ordered a new one – problem solved.

So Convenient, so easy to use. Small enough to place out of sight anywhere. I have not used the timer feature - I just turn it on when I want the candles lit, turn it off when I want them off. But I can see why it would be a nice added feature sometimes. I have candles in more than one room, so it is convenient to have a remote in more than one place. I had one previously for my bathroom, will use another one in family room, will give one as a gift, save one for a future gift. Price is better when bought in a set of 3. I love them!

Out of the three only one works a little. I know what the problem is...an old battery. I had this same issue with some I had and replaced the battery and they work fine. The batteries are very expensive so I thought I would just order these as there was three for, I thought, a great price. Not worth the money. Get somewhere else.

These do exactly what they are supposed to do -- turn the Luminara candles on and off. It's nice to have a few spares although I haven't yet had one not work. Another reviewer gave a good tip - you really have to point the remote directly at the candle and not off in some slightly general direction. That said, it is not hard to do this unless you are not paying attention. What a delight to use these remotes! At first I thought it was kind of crazy to bother with remotes but now I realize how wonderful they are. Oh, and in case you are wondering why you might need so many - it is really nice to have one seeded around the rooms in various places. Yes, I guess I am sounding lazy. :-0

If you have any luminara candles this remote control is a must. The one remote will turn on and off all of your luminara candles. I love to sit in my living room at night and flip a few of them on to add that to the ambience. I have given them as gifts and they are a big hit!
