DON’T DO IT!!!!!
I gave it 1 star just to acknowledge the effort that went into creating this product.Look I’m not a guy who turns my nose up to non-alcoholic beverages. I can enjoy a Budweiser Zero or other non-alcoholic beer.So when I saw this product advertised, out of curiosity I bought a bottle. After all why not?Lemme tell you all about this. First off, as soon as you pull the cork out, the aroma is a slap in the face to all bourbons everywhere. It smells like the aftertaste of vomit in your mouth. So right out the gate things weren’t looking good. But I was committed to trying it out so I dug in and prepared myself.I put a large ball in my glass and poured this over it. I let it settle for a few minutes before taking a sip. Oh my god it was bad. I can’t put it any other way. It begins with a familiar oak taste but a second after hitting my tongue, there was that vomit taste again with a prune finish. I had to force it down because I didn’t want to be wasteful.A week later I thought I would give it another try. But after a few sips I gave up. I poured out the glass and poured the rest of the bottle down the sink. The whole kitchen smelled like vomit and prunes for about a half hour afterward.I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone. If you’re looking for a non-alcoholic bourbon, this ain’t it. In fact you may just have to face reality. Because I have zero faith in these products now.I’ll be sticking with the real thing and only the real thing from now on. I had hoped to dabble with creating a non-alcoholic Old Fashioned with this, but I think I’ll go back to experimenting with iced tea to find that proper fix.And I’ll stick with my Woodford, Buffalo Trace, and Bulleitt for myself.I normally don’t leave reviews for products on here. I just buy my stuff and mind my own business. But I can’t in good conscience stay silent. If you’re reading this, trust me. It’s not worth it.Find something else.

As close as you can get for a 0%
Very good for a liquor substitute, whether to reduce real alcohol consumption or save on calories. Tastes just like an okay-bourbon. The capsaicin simulates the alcohol burn well, but lingers in your throat longer than real bourbon. Has a slight smokey/charred taste like a real bourbon. I recommend drinking it neat with a non-water frozen cube (to prevent dilution). I also added a little bit of real bitters to mine and that helped too.I’d be lying if I said 1:1 but the only thing that can taste like alcohol is real alcohol, which this is not. I hope they continue to improve their non-alc spirits and I will buy more someday!

This is awful!
I am not picky. Was looking for an alcohol free option to cut down on alcohol consumption. I had read mixed reviews but was hopeful. This was not only bad, I would describe it as vile. It tasted like vomit and I poured the bottle down the sink. That is how awful this stuff is because I hate to waste. Also, quite expensive given no alcohol. I went and bought a bottle of bourbon. 🤪

Not a good imitation
It tastes of flavored water. I brought this product for someone who cannot have alcoholic drinks because of the medication they are taking, and they enjoy an evening cocktail. Luckily because this person cannot taste, they feel it is an alcoholic whiskey. What would improve on this product is enhancing in both flavor and viscosity. Why does the product cost more that alcoholic whiskey?

Best AF brand I have found- Mocktail!
In my effort to cut back/take a break from alcohol, I tried a couple options and did not care for them. I tried the Free Spirits bourbon and found it satisfying. Do not buy if you want it straight, it is NOT bourbon! It is meant to be a mixer. I mainly make Old Fashions with it. My OF mix is some OF mixer (pre-mixed), Bourbon cherries, FS Bourbon, and sugar free Tonic. I tried it with just regular water and it was OK, put a little tonic in instead and it adds that little extra needed to back down the false bite they try to give the bourbon. The flavor is good and it works for me! Just need a Free Spirit Vodka now! No 5 stars as it is not yet "perfect", but as close as I have found outside of real bourbon. It is a bit pricey though...more expensive that a bottle of average bourbon. However, you don't need a LOT in your glass, half FS and half Tonic, good to go!

Does not taste like vomit
But doesn't taste good, either. Too sweet, thin, fake. Would not buy again, and it is way overpriced.

Tastes like turpentine, but some really like it
Original review: This drink is disgusting. It’s like drinking turpentine. I tried it neat. I tried it with water. I tried it with ice. I tried it with bitters. After those 4 sips, I gave up and threw the rest of my poured drink out. You could not pay me enough to have more of this. How did this even get recommended anywhere by anyone?! Yuck.Update 2 weeks later: The company really stands behind their product! After leaving my initial review, the company contacted me and offered a refund. I was astounded, as I assumed I was just out the cost for trying this online product. Kudos to them. I ordered this NA bourbon because several online review sites listed it as the best NA bourbon substitute, so there are clearly those out there that like this one. Why not give it a try if you're looking, since the company backs their product!

The best non-alcoholic bourbon I've tried so far.
I was holding off my review until I tried a few other non-alcoholic bourbons. This, by far, is the closest thing to a bourbon I have tried. I drink bourbon and Coke, never straight or on the rocks. I use a generous amount of free spirit bourbon and Coke, the stronger the better. Tastes and smells like bourbon with a nice warming burn in your throat after you drink it.I think it is a great alternative if you've stopped or are slowing down on your alcohol consumption.
