Some are just better
I've been quilting for 4 years now so I would say that I am beginner/intermediate. That said, i started out using a brand of ruler thinking it would not be good as it was a quite popular brand. So I bought many of them in different sizes. For most users, it works ok. But for my smaller piecing needs, you ABSOLUTELY need this ruler. It does not slide. In some instances, i want the ruler to slide but not in others. I had NO idea how much extra work i was doing to prevent sliding until i got this ruler. You wont regret getting this smaller one. I promise.

Better than expected
Can't wait to try this one out. It feels as good if not better than my other rulers. I guess I didn't read the part that it is a non-slip design. Basically the bottom has a couple circles, and the 1/4 inch border, dimpled to make it smooth textured. The diagonal is corner to corner, which is perfect for my project of squaring up squares made of two triangles on the center seem. Multiple grids markings for 1/4 and 1/2 inch. I will be buying more of these in larger sizes.

Best non-slip rulers I have ever tried!
My quilter friend recommended this brand to me and I'm so glad I tried them! It drives me crazy when rulers slide around when you're cutting with your rotary cutter and the grippy circles on these rulers are very effective. I'm 100% sold on this brand and I'm slowly replacing my most used sizes with Creative Grid... as well as adding a few more I didn'talready have. I got this particular size to have a small ruler I could move around easier for marking and making small cuts.

Easy to read and large numbers
I really like this Creative Grid ruler because it allows me to manipulate small measurements easily. It really is easy to read and this eliminates inaccuracy. The right tool makes the job easy. This is a wonderful tool.

great for small squares
When sewing small quilt squares this comes in very handy as the grips on the underside hold the fabric and there is less slippage when cutting. The lines on the ruler help to get a spot on cut. Worth the price.
