More than 3 years later and...
Got this over 3 years ago and I'm very happy with it! The black has faded and has a tiny patch of rust on the side and the about a year ago the key started to sometimes not wanna fit in, but WD40 solves the key issue and the white spray paint I'm going to put on it will give it a brand new look and keep the sun off of it. For the price and how it's still lasting and had understandable wear to it over the years, I love it! Will stick to this mailbox for life.

Excellent Mailbox After Initial Glitch
The first unit I purchased was defective, but between Amazon and Salisbury Industries, I received a replacement within one business day. Kudos on great customer service, but the initial defective unit and its missing keys are why this isn't a five-star review. That said, and effective resolution made, this is a premium, secure mailbox. It ' made with heavy-gauge steel (mailbox weighs over 17 lbs), and it's more secure than numerous other locking units I evaluated. That is, it's very difficult to slide one's hand in to remove mail when the front panel is locked. I'm very happy with this mailbox. Also, note that you don't need an additional plate, or have to drill holes in the unit, to affix it from the bottom to a 4x4; you will, however, need to drill it if you are attaching it to a wall from its back plate. I'd definitely buy it again if I had the need, but I expect years of service from this well-made and secure mailbox.

Strong, large capacity, well made, more safe and tamper-resistant than expected in this price range.
Heavy duty, heavy weight. Make sure you install the screws into a stud if wall-mounting, even if you have to place two of them off-center from the template. Use galvanized screws, as the instructions advise.Small letter opening, won't accept bulky flats or packages. But one of the safest mailboxes for letter mail that you will find in this price range. Not immune to deliberate "fishing", but safe from casually prying fingers as long is the mail is placed all the way inside the box, not left sticking out. The way it locks is more tamper-resistant than I expected. It seems quite well-made.It has a pretty large capacity, so unless you're famous and get tons of fan mail, or go away for a month at a time, this box will probably be good for you.

This is a very sturdy locking mailbox
This is a very sturdy locking mailbox. I have very small hands and can fit my hand down into most mailboxes through the slot. This design won't allow me to get my hand past my wrist into the box and it is too deep for me to fish anything out with my fingers. The door flap is in the front that opens up and out and the slot faces down for the mail carrier to drop your mail into the box. It is wide enough for magazines to fit in sideways, then curl when it drops to the bottom. Some mailbox slots are too narrow and require magazines and other pieces of mail to go in vertically and then the mail is left standing, which means that anyone can get your mail with their fingers, What a great design! We looked at a lot of locking mailboxes and this is the only I was completely confident of its security. It has holes already done if you want to mount it to a post. But you have to drill your own holes if you want to wall mount it, as we did. I believe that only the bottom holes were provided because if you mount to a post, water could get inside if the wall-mount holes were already done. It was easy enough to do.The metal seems very sturdy, not at all flimsy. I feel that anyone would be very satisfied if you bought one of these.

Design Flaw with Door
After 3 months of use I can accurately write a review. At first I thought it was a accident that there was a letter on the ground beneath the mail box but then it happened again. The bottom of the door where it is hinged to the rest of the box has a gap of about .200" which with the right circumstances allows a letter to fall right between it. I have corrected that with some weather stripping. Now the lock has issues with allowing the key to be inserted. That is based on installing cheap locks coming out of china. I struggled with a 3 star rating because I can fix most these things. Which I really shouldn't have to.

Beware as there is no hardware to install.
This unit comes with NO hardware; you also have to drill holes in the back of the unit if you intend to wall mount the mail box. This box is built for post mount; NOT wall mount
A**.
Do. Not . Buy. All defective key holes .
Bought this twice and had to return both key hole was damaged and malfunctioned pneacj one. First one just never worked and the second one the key started to get more jammed and jammed until eventually it just got stuck I could open the box or get my key out of the hole. Wouldn’t have cared much but it happened both times when I returned the product for a new one thinking it was damaged and defective. I guess that are just pieces of crap.

A tougher, more secure mailbox you will not find for twice the price. EXCELLENT!
This thing is a tank! There are cars made with thinner metal than this! VERY secure. There is NO way for someone to put their hand inside the slot to grab your mail, no matter how small their hands may be. It has plenty of room for mail, including large catalog size envelopes.I couldn't believe I was going to spend $70 on a mailbox to put on the wall outside my business... I am so glad I did... the peace of mind this box gives me is priceless!

Mailbox showed up & door could not close as the left side of mailbox was welded on an obvious angle... Still put into a box & shipped with the door unable to close!!! I had to drill new holes & reseat the door which is obviously crooked & is very right to open & close, but from the street u cannot tell.... Only as u walk up the sidewalk to the house. I was not going through the hassle of shipping it back to the USA but for $180 after all said & done.... I would never order from here again!
