Hi guys this is dead and had bought this manual for my friend who had bought and m 1 grand. It helps you understand a little bit of the rifle the same manual that they probably gave the soldier in basic training. Most of the rifles that you're buying now do not come with a manual like a new one. So this would be a great addition to understand your rifle.

Overall a good little military TM. Since it is a -12 manual it contains part numbers, etc. that are useful for folks who want to restore a collector grade rifle. 4 stars only because the printing is a little small and not as clear as the original manual. This handbook sized manual was originally in an 8"x11", full size manual.

Useful and interesting, helps us understand our historic M1 Garand rifle, a piece of history and an excellent shooting gun. We use for targets, this book has lots of info about the gun's development and history as well as for using and maintaining it.
