Best GFCI Outlet Tester Available
This review is for Klein Tools RT250 GFCI Outlet Tester with LCD Display, Electric Voltage Tester for Standard 3-Wire 120V Electrical Receptacles. This is the best outlet tester I have seen so far. I love the backlit readout and that it gives you the voltage information too. All the features, including the GFCI test, work flawlessly. I have never had a Klein tool that I have been unhappy with, and I find this tester to be a great value.

Works great with good options for testing. I like that the voltage reading will stay on the display. Comes in handy when an outlet is obscured from observation when unit plugged in. Quality of construction is excellent. It feels like a well made tool.

Reads current and don't get shocked
Already purchased the 2 piece breaker locator. But adding this let's me leave ohm meter in its box. I get volts on this. If open hot or bad neutral. It's perfect addition to my electrical kit. Great item.

This tester could save your life. Used in an RV with no issues - the tester showed all was well. Using the same tester in a house, it gave an indication of potential wiring issue, as the voltage showed 30VAC on first check and 123V on a subsequent check. It will also indicate ground issue, reverse polarity. Glad to have bought.
