Couldn't be happier with this ash basket. It fits perfectly, is thick and sturdy, and, of course, is stainless steel. It raises the charcoal on a Kamodo Joe Classic, clearing the bottom holes to allow air to flow freely around the charcoal. This ash basket is 25% of the cost of Kisk Ash branded baskets and 20% of the price the manufacturer charges. As have only used for the first time, am unable to state how easy it is to clean so gave 'cleaning' 3 stars. That said, it can't be harder to clean than the top grills, which require frequent cleaning with normal use. I highly recommend this size ask basket for the Kamodo Joe Classic.

It seems like it will hold up for a long time as its replacing one we've had for years. now Im using this basket in a typical drum style grill when I want to smoke ribs. The racks came out great and it held enough charcoal/wood chunks for a 5 hour smoke

Fit well in the firebox, worked well for mt smoker

Nice heavy construction. Makes my Green Egg easier to clean. However it burns much cooler than the original round plate. This basket allows much of the incoming air to go around the charcoal instead of thru it. This may be good or bad depending on how you want to cook.

This charcoal basket fits my Large Big Green Egg perfectly! I have used it for 20 low temperature smokes, 10 high temperature grills, and 4 steak sears, and the stainless steel is holding up well. I do not plan to wash it or get it wet because this would likely degrade the material more rapidly, however with 34 cooks under its belt, it should be working well long into 2025. I cook on my Egg at least 4 times every week on average and more during the fall and winter months here in TX (fewer bugs). I would say that, at this rate, this stainless-steel basket should be able go the distance providing me at least another 300 cooks. As for its functionality - this basket makes ash cleanup a snap! Just wait for the coal to cool, grab the handles, and either shake the coal into the Egg's internal ash-can or (even simpler) shake the basket into an external ash-can for disposal after safely extinguishing all ignition elements.

Perfect in my Kamado

This is seemingly high quality workmanship, and it makes clean up much much easier. It has the added bonus of improving the air flow around the charcoal, and keeping little bits of charcoal out of the side vent holes in the firebox. Some very small pieces of charcoal do fall through though. I have a Primo Round, fits perfectly.

Ok, this basket is perfect in my egg! makes cleaning so much better, I removed the original iron base plate (which required cleaning out the holes all the time ) and dropped this in. Now I simply grab the side handles give it a shake and add more coal! Has made cleaning and prepping the BBQ faster and with less mess. Should have gotten this a long time ago, do yourself a favour and get one! you will not regret it!!
