Good fit, works as expected, protects while allowing full motion
It fits pretty snugly, but doesn't hamper movement. When I first tried it on, it felt like it might be too tight and would prevent full motion in my knee, but that wasn't the case while playing. The padding has been sufficient so far. I wear them under baseball pants, and they've prevented skinned knees while sliding in dirt. The construction seems great.

Terrific Product - really works well to protect the knee when sliding.
So, I don't normally write reviews. But because this product really worked as advertised, I felt compelled to let people know. I am 6-1 and play in an adult mens baseball league. For years, I've dealt with the sliding scrapes on my left knee from sliding on less than optimal fields (and probably less than perfect form too). I finally had enough limping around with a scraped knee, and decided a knee pad might do the trick. After reading reviews, I settled on this particular Mizuno pad. My primary concern when buying it was the lack of different sizes. But the product arrived quickly and I have been using it for 3 weeks now. So, I can't say how it holds up over time yet. But in terms of doing the job, it really works well. I have had multiple occasions now to slide in games. Each time, the pad has protected my knee perfectly - no slide scrapes. And the best thing has been that the pad stays in place and doesn't slip down my knee when I play. It isn't bulky at all. Takes a little getting used to, when you first put it on, but I forget that it is there once I start playing. Highly recommend it.

Fits good and offers good protection
The Mizuno Slider Kneepad is exactly that. It's meant to go more around/on the knee and upper shin as opposed to the calf, which is what I really wanted. When I slide feet first I tend to scrape up my shin a little more than my knee. There really is no exact way to wear it (which is nice, but may be confusing for people). So just slide it on and position it where you feel you need the protection. As I said I scratch up my shin more and I prefer to not diminish my speed, so I try not to cover my knee with it. As such, I keep it just below my knee (and I turn it a little to the outside of my leg) It stays up and it fits well. The padding on the inside (there really should be a picture of the inner padding) does the job and it really saves me from going home with dirt scrapes on my shins/knees. Others stated it’s tight right out of the package. For bigger girls/guys that may be the case, but the fabric seems to have a stretch quality. As with any sleeve type item it’s meant to be tight and stretch to eventually fit any leg shape/size. I’m 5’4 130 lbs with large muscular calfs. It fits fine and I definitely don’t feel restricted in it. If I cover the knee it fits exactly as a McDavid knee sleeve may fit. I was able to use it right out of the package. It softens up every time I use. It’s great. Others docked this negatively for only being one, not a pair. Well, buy two then and the math is the exact same. If you think you’ll slide on one leg more, get one. If your all about switching up the legs then buy two. Don’t knock on the product if you don’t read the description or don’t do the research ahead of time. Overall, I’m happy with the buy and would buy again.

Sliding on home
Perfect for that softball player looking to slide! These are durable and haven't torn at all. My daughter had issues tearing up her knees and softball pants until I bought this. Now she is confident in sliding and doesn't even second guess it!

Perfect for pickleball
After twenty years of volleyball, diving and rolling come very naturally to me. Now I play pickleball, and my nickname is "dustmop" because I'm still diving and rolling and generally putting my knee down on low digs. Despite all my training and practice, I'd still get scrapes on my knees sometimes. My old set of pads worked OK on indoor surfaces, but on asphalt friction would still get transferred to my knee through the material so I had quite a collection of scrapes. Since I got these pads, not one. Knees are almost back to normal, after maybe a hundred contacts on both surfaces. The inner lining provides an extra layer that will move before your skin has to, and the fact that it's smooth means that even in the worst case it's better than the rough outer material. Whoever designed this clearly knew what's needed.

They stay up!
I love these! I've tries every brand, Under Armour, Nike, Spalding, MacDavid, and more. These are the first ones I personally have found that stay up for most of a game. All those others, rin to first, pull them up, dive for a ball, pull them, slide into a base, pull them up and deal with the field rash later. Not these, I played two games today, pulled on the once! Just bought these, my 2nd pair.

Great buy
Great product. I play slow pitch softball. As a short stop, these are a must. They stop turf burns.

I bought these for my heels dance class this time but the reason I did is because I have used these sliders for years. I played softball all throughout childhood and into my college years. I got my first one when i was around 9 or 10 and didnt have to replace it until I was about 17. The next one at 17 brought me all the way through my 4 years in college. Its thin so it reduces the amount of bunching at the back of the knees. Its really stretchy so it stays up in place even though you might have larger thighs. Its easy to wash and dry and its stiched really well so it doesn't come a part right away. Obviously protection from the dirt when sliding.
