If your ceiling is not perfectly flat (any older house), this is a difficult install. Plan to have the fixture screw a bit loose and the you can add a small wedge or two of mounting tape to the gap to stabilize it. Otherwise, it was a great purchase. We like the look. Be sure to buy a 12v battery at any hardware store for the remote. The three light typea give a nice choice of brightness, but you have to click through them. Be sure the set it up for the yellowish one next before bed so you don't blind yourself in the morning.

The unit is made of metal and plastic. Most of the fan parts are a thin low grade plastic like what you'd find in your local dollar store. The installation instructions were a single quarter sheet of paper. Neither the picture nor the instructions matched the fixture. The unit seems designed to be fixed to the ceiling without an electrical junction box. They included wall anchors to affix the mounting bracket to the ceiling. Not sure how that passed US electrical code. I used the bracket screws from my old fixture to mount the bracket securely to the junction box in the ceiling. The fan itself is a bit heavy and awkward to hold on a ladder. Tried using the included bracket as a hook (common practice for better quality ceiling fans) so I could get it wired up. But the bracket could not support the weight of the fan and bent as a result. Also the ground wire is really really thin and only about 5 inches long. About three of those inches are lost in deep in the fan housing making very hard to wire up. Ours snapped off during install so I had to replace it with a thicker gauge wire. Many of the screws on the unit are actually bolts with little nuts and washers on the back side. So removing the ground screw was impossible without dismantling the fan portion to get at the nut. So so frustrating. Even after the fan was repaired and installed it didn't hang level with the ceiling and actually could easily be rocked side to side. It just did not feel solid at all. But I flipped the switch on my wall and the fixture lit up. There is no way to wire this unit so that the lights and fan operate on separate switches, so you can only operate the fan using the included remote. Unfortunately the remote did not come with a battery. And the battery size needed is not a typical AAA or AA size. It's a 12V A23 battery. So no chance of finding one in your local store here in the US. For $190+ they could have at least included the battery. So I was not able to try out the fan or change the light colors. I was pretty fed up at that point and decided to send it back. What a complete waste of time and money.

The fan is cute and works “okay”.1) The fan mechanism reminds me of a “box fan” so not the best quality… but good wind, especially directly under the fan.2) I haven’t yet figured our how to add the decorative beads without bending the metal.3) I had an electrician install it so I cannot comment about these ease of that step.4) it beeps every time you turn it on. Not the end of the world but unnecessary5) it rotates between bright white and soft white randomly when it turn on. I don’t seem to be able to control that aspect accurately with the remote.6) they didn’t include a battery for the remote and it is not a standard sized battery (so that’s just annoying)

Just beautiful💕 amazing light, easy to install does not make so much noise as the traditional ceiling fans with a very easy to use control. Eady to clean. Would definitely recommend!

Purchased a slightly different style from a different seller. Was so happy with that one, I decided to try this one since it was fancier looking. Packaging was perfect so very disappointed with the dents and limited function remote control
