CaddyTrek R2 CaddyWraps Smart Robotic Electric Golf Caddy

This electric golf caddy was a gift for my husband. He loved the design, it folds up compact and fits on the golf cart, the ease of navigation and the fact that it works really well on the course is a big win on the gift.

I took my FTR CaddyTrek R2 out for the first time today. I was very pleased with how easy it was to control and the follow mode was flawless. I am very satisfied with my purchase. The marching mode took some practice but was also a breeze once I got the hang of it but like the follow mode better.

Bought this for the Follow and March capabilities. A slight bump and the cart jumps around like a bucking horse. The features do not work well at all. Initial push of forward button and the cart takes off like a bat out of hell and does a wheel before slowing to a normal pace. Fairly easy to fold but floppy front wheels are really annoying they should lock into place instead they get in the way of loading the cart in your trunk. This company could learn something from Roomba technology regarding objects that it is nearing. I’ve hit a cart and nearly a friend. Not pleased with antiquated features.

Works as expected after 2 uses, follow mode should only be used in open spaces like fairways...remote control works great. It easy to use...we will see if it gets more stars after more use. Be careful on steep and side slopes.

If you like to walk a golf course, get this cart. It is easy to use, and is easy to put away.

This cart works GREAT! I just press the “Follow” button on the remote, hang it on my back pocket and the carts follows 6-8 feet behind me. Wish I’d have bought it years ago.

The electric cart is nice but a little quirky. There is a definite learning curve to using it. If walking over bumpy terrain, you can easily lose it in follow mode. It will rear up like a horse if it hits a bump, and I will keep walking and get ahead of it. For this reason, I have nicknamed it Dr. Wu since I have to look back on rough surfaces to make sure it is still with me. "Are you with me Dr. Wu?" - Steely Dan. It works great in remote mode. As much as I dislike having to mess with the remote control while playing, there are places on my course where the follow mode just doesn't work very well. I have also noticed that one place on the course near a cell tower and fire station, the follow mode signal gets scrambled and will not work at all. Luckily, there is only one hole where this happens. The instructions say you can change to an alternate frequency, but I have not tried this yet. I just use the remote control when I get to that hole. I still recommend it, but just be prepared for a little bit of weirdness. Once you've practiced operating it for a few rounds, you will learn the do's and don'ts like I have.
