Since I am super sensitive to smells, I was worried about using this product on the inside air handler coils, as it does have a faint fragrance. I used 1 part cleaner to 2 parts water, rinsed it well with a garden hose, only turned on 1/3 (also had a wet vac standing by, in case the drain was overwhelmed, which it didn't), and after it fully dried, there was no smell. Update: After a couple of 100F days, I can report that the system is notably more efficient (the air is colder) after the cleaning, it had been 10 yrs since last cleaning. And there is no smell in house when it runs, if anything, it smells cleaner. I also replaced the start capacitor for the air handler fan.

Used this to clean my electronic air cleaner element's for my furnace and the filter for my orik air purifier I bought used years ago. I have never been able to get either clean, I have used dawn and hot water as well as even gave steam cleaning a shot but always had dirt stuck on my filters for my furnace ( these are aluminum so plz do not try to clean paper or any other filter media with this, it is not designed to work on anything else other then metal type filters ), my air purifier filter is also aluminum and when I got it the filter was stained with what I have to assume is tar from cigarettes. I have tried multiple cleaners and none have worked on it either. I put ( in a clean spray bottle ) 1/4 bottle of cleaner with 1/2 bottle of hot water in old windex bottle and sprayed the purifier filter, the junk stuck on there that didn't want to come off, just started running off like using a garden hose to spray mudd off your truck before washing. Side of bottle says to let sit for 5 min after spraying, I let it sit for maybe 2 to see how well it cleaned stuff and then used my shower head to spray the filters down with hot water. I have not seen the dirt run off these filters like this before. I even rinsed the dirt off to start with using the pressure spray on my shower head before spraying the cleaner and I still got double the amount of dirt to come off. When I rinsed the filters the 2nd time, the water rinsed off as much dirt as it did when I first rinsed the filters before spraying them! The air purifier filter, I had chunks coming off of this junk/ tar when I rinsed it. The odor, there is none! I'm serious, there is no odor! This stuff is about as much as the spray calgon I believe is the brand cleaner that claimed to be odorless, but wasn't. This is cheaper and is alot better since there is no fumes or odors!

I got this to help clean the evaporator coil on my de-humidifier that lives in the basement. The thing runs almost non-stop and has been running for 3 years. Per the instructions you can dilute this up to 4 to 1 with water depending on your level of dirt. As my coil was not filthy I went 4 to 1 and sprayed it on with a re-fillable squirt bottle. It seemed to work very well, though I did help it along with a scrub from a very soft nylon brush. It did have a mild smell to it that seemed to be to be a caustic. It was not overwhelming at all, though it might be at full strength. After a good rinse with pure water my coil came out like new. This will be my go to for refrigerators, vehicle condensers, etc. Diluted down a gallon will go a long way making this a great value.

Used this product along with a handheld manual pump foaming sprayer, cleaned both a years old tower fan and a portable a/c. Was amazed at the cleaning power of Coil Safe! This melted away and cleaned gunk that another product I used to use, premixed in a spray foaming can, didn’t even touch! Not only did it make my tower fan/air purifier at least a decade old again sparkling clean and usable again, it completely cleaned my portable a/c+ dehumidifier and cleaned out gunk from the internal drip trays and coils. Mixed this product with water in the handheld foaming sprayer I bought, let it sit and do its job, and continued the above steps with reapplying until the runoff was finally clear. Not only does this clean amazingly well, it is much more cost effective than using the premixed foaming spray cans of another popular brand. Still have half a gallon left!!! Will definitely be sticking with this product from now on!

A'lthough I didn't use my heat ppump system for cooling in the past, I bought this to clean the outdoor unit. After 4 years, I am finally using it for dehumidification, so this year will see this coil cleaner used on the indoor units as well.

Used to clean both indoor and outdoor AC coils. Be sure to wear protective gear for lungs and hands. Following the direction on the cleaner, the product did thoroughly clean the coils, however even though coils were rinsed with water following cleaning it appears the coils fins were negatively affected and noticed a few months later that the fins appeared to breaking down. Now, it may be due to the age of the system but recommend using caution with this product.

This worked great with cleaning our heat pumps but it is a bit strong. It does dissipate after an hour or so. Would buy again.

Works Great. I am glad I ordered the liquid, not the foam because my mini split was so dirty after almost 7 years. I am to do few shots of this product waiting 15 min between and rinse with garden hose. The result is amazing. looks new now. I spend little less than the half because my mini split was need it. Next time, I will do it more often and will need less product. Thanks again

Good price here. Used to buy via ezybuy. Kinda troublesome. Now it's sold here. I usually do rinse with fresh water though after using this product. Dilute accordingly. Check the instructions.
