Review: This book is a must have not only for HR students but for practicing HR consultants. It explains the theory used to explore the construct crystal clear together with empirical studies conducted. It systematically reviews most if not all of key conceptual papers about engagement. It goes on to review the drivers of engagement and suggets through evidence based empirical findings what organization can do to elicit engagement. Its an amazing text :) Review: Good

A very good introduction and summary of up to date thinking. Some of the sections are not quite up to the standard of others, and some demonstrate significant bias with the author promoting their views over that of the wider academic literature (Section 2 'What is engagement?' being the worst offender) but it's still a worthwhile read if treated critically.
