Excellent Light
I bought this for a co-worker at a daycare center who walks to work. She lives close by but travels on a busy road while pushing her infant in a baby carriage. There are sidewalks but sometimes they are obstructed and force her to use the street. Up here in the North East, we are entering the snow season where snow removal on the sidewalks is spotty at best. This light will keep her visible to traffic. The light is amazing with its different functions and brightness. I like that the function buttons are on top and easy to operate. I also appreciate the battery life indicator is clear to see. The light easily slips on/off the mount for security or charging needs. I can not attest to the battery life at this time. I can say that I was playing with all its functions for about 20 minutes and the power went from 100 to 98 percent. I'll check back with my co-worker in a few weeks and give an update.

Amazing Performance Set at Affordable Price!
Excellent set of lights for a great price! Just look at the pictures for and you can see for yourself, they are angled a little downwards. I purchased this light set for my son I wanted him to be very visible to cars and be able to see what's in front of him as well. I've borrowed his lights multiple times because I like to ride with a set of backups for my rides.PROs:• Design - The headlight is unique not a flashlight or the typical torpedo look like design that most other lights out there have it is very compact. It comes with a solid plastic clamp style mount that you can leave on the bike and allows easy removal of the light from the base. It has a little red on the sides that make it so you are a little more visible from the sides as well. The taillight that is included is nice and rectangular and easily mounts on the seat post and can be used in addition to the reflector (my state law requires a rear reflector in addition to rear light). The rear light can be removed from the rubber strap mounting bracket as well for easy recharging. They are not water proof but water resistant I haven't had issues during rain so far but others have reported issues in reviews. It doesn't say in the instructions that I remember but yes the taillight can be mounted horizontally and vertically.'• Performance - I compared these to my pricier Cygolite Dash 350 (Headlight) and Surfas Thunderbolt (Taillight).~ Brightness - is very similar to the Cygolite which is only a 350 lumen and these are a a 380 the difference is negligible. With the Blitzu Gator 380 you get a spot with more of a fuller fill to light up more of the area around you as well, the Cygolite was more of a focused beam.~ Modes - you have 4 with the Blitzu you get a high, medium, low, and flash. With the Cygolite you get 7 (4 night modes and 3 daytime.~ Useage - your mileage may vary with the Cygolite I get about an hour on high and with the Blitzu I can get close to 2 hours. The other modes you can get a lot longer but I generally like to keep it on high so I'm visible and I can see as well.~ Recharge - Both are Micro USB rechargeable and take about two hours. The Blitzu will go from Red LED to like an Amber/Yellowish color when its completely charged, I was told it was supposed to be green but I just haven't and don't see it.For the tail lights~ Brightness - They are 100 lumen but with the red it takes away from it's throw but not visibility.~ Modes - From off a single press brings you to medium, another click high, then another low then it cycles from there. To go into flashing the light needs to be off, then press and hold power until light turns on it will be flashing then cycle through the modes.~ Useage - They haven't died on me but I make a practice of recharging them when I recharge my headlights.~ Recharge a mini USB cable is required which is included as well.CONs:• Design - The Gator 380 headlight isn't as sleek as the Cygolite and it doesn't offer a separate daytime mode LED. The flaps that cover the Micro and Mini USB port could fit more snug. I wished the bundled the tail light as Micro USB connector as well but they do include the cable and that's just me being picky.• Performance - Just lack of daytime running light mode.• CONCLUSION •I think these lights are a great buy. For the price they are 1/2 the cost of the combo I'm running with the Cygolite Dash 350 and the Serfas Thunderbolt. They are on par if not better in some areas as well as lacking in a few for my personal preference. The convenience of the rechargeable lights as well as being able to separate the lights from their mounting options are very handy. I haven't had any issues with lights falling of either. I'm thinking about getting these as my secondary set of lights for longer rides that way I don't have to keep borrowing my sons.

Great little light but expected better battery life in blink mode
I got this light as a "be seen" light. The only time I would ride at night is if I miscalculated the route or had a bike/physical issue and stayed out longer than expected. I understand the documentation indicated 2 hours of battery life at the highest setting, but it said nothing about the battery life on blink mode, which is what I use. I give it high ratings for the brightness of the light on the blink mode and for the general ease of use and quality. It really lit up the reflective road signs in some of the darker sections of my route. I also rode one day in the rain and it held up fine. However, I deduct a half a star for the mounting mechanism. It didn't want to stay in one spot and was always shifting on the handlebar. An additional rubber band or 2 and some tape was needed to keep it in one spot on the handlebar. I deduct a half a star for the battery life in blink mode. I fully charged it and got about 10 hours on blink mode before it went dim. Not bad at this price point, but I did expect more. If I was on a bike tour and running in blink mode, it would need re-charging every day. So bottom line is if you're looking for a bright light at a low price to get you out of a tight spot, or want a "be seen" light and are prepared to charge the light every few days or so depending on your usage, then this will work for you.

The "free" rear light is better than the front.
Kind of a split review. I like the tail light much better than the front light.Parts included: Front Light + mount + 6" micro USB cable Rear Light + mount + 6" mini USB cableThe tail light has 6 settings (Solid: low, medium, high; Strobe, ) and is very bright, you will be seen in the daylight. The only issue I have with the taillight is that is uses a mini USB plug and not the newer micro USB plug. I was hoping to purge my house of all older plugs but not if I want this thing. Also the front light use the newer micro plug requiring the use of two different and incompatible cables to charge both of them. My immediate thought was to return them but want to give it some more time. The light can be mounted either vertical or horizontal and can be tilted up or down in the mount. The front light, like said above, uses a very common micro USB plug. The light has 4 modes (Solid: low, medium, high; Strobe). The light is a cool white and is a good brightness but dimmer than my wife's Cygolite streak (which is also a warmer white). The Cygolite has 3 strobe modes which are all better than this ones and is slow compared to any of the Cygolite's modes. The mount is a little more frail than I hoped as over tightening it makes the quick release pop off often and loosening it enough to stay closed still allowed me to move the mount a little.
