Great break away to save ladders on boat

Excellent, but do not order if you have an Armstrong ladder
I ordered this part to replace an old bracket that lacked the breakaway system after a couple of times when I forgot to raise the ladder, damaging the old bracket. I have a floating, three-step Armstrong dive ladder. Answering my question before the purchase, one user claimed that the bracket fit the Armstrong ladder. Not true. The slit where the ladder slides in is too narrow, and the buttons on the Armstrong ladder are too short for the safety clip to engage. In the end, we widened the slit and were able to fit our Armstrong ladder, using the ladder's own safety instead of the clip. This is a solid, well-built bracket that should last for years.

The best ladder bracket option I could find
This ladder bracket is perfect! Best solution I found to install my 4-step dive ladder on my angled transom. The breakaway feature eases my mind in case I ever forget to pull the ladder off before we get under way.
