Does this have metal in it?

Yes. There is a metal support encased but removable. I have depended on this wrist support for years. I used to remove the metal support when washing item but last time when washing, I left it in place and it was fine.

From the top of your palm to the inside of the wrist it is 6-1/2” . You may also remove the metal bone to wash the wrist brace. It is very comfortable.
