Skar Audio EVL-65 D2 6.5" 400 Watt Max Power Dual 2 Ohm Car Subwoofer

Haven't been able to turn it up super loud yet due to having a quarter glass replaced just over 36 hours ago but it sounds amazing and hits super hard. Very well built for sure. Took me about 10 minutes to get it wired up and in my box down to 1 ohm and installed. Its massive. First 15 ive ever had i am very happy

I recently installed the Skar Audio EVL-65 D2 6.5" 400 Watt subwoofer in my 2015 Lexus CT200h factory subwoofer box, and although I'm not experiencing its full potential, I can still appreciate its capabilities. Please note that my review is based on my specific setup limitations, but I believe this speaker has great potential when paired with the right amplifier. First and foremost, the installation process was a breeze. The speaker fit perfectly in my factory subwoofer box, making it a seamless upgrade. Due to the limitations of my car's factory amplifier, I'm only able to hear a fraction of the bass that this speaker is capable of producing. However, I believe the issue lies with my car's power output rather than the speaker itself. Despite the limited bass response, I can still perceive the potential that lies within the Skar Audio EVL-65 D2. Considering the value for money, this speaker offers a solid investment. While I'm unable to fully exploit its capabilities, I recognize that it is designed for enthusiasts who are seeking powerful and deep bass. If you have a compatible amplifier that can provide the necessary power, I believe this speaker will truly shine and deliver an exceptional audio experience. In summary, the Skar Audio EVL-65 D2 is a well-built and impressive subwoofer, despite my current setup limitations. Its easy installation and durable construction make it a great choice for car audio enthusiasts. While I can't provide a comprehensive review of its sound quality, I am confident that with the appropriate amplifier, this speaker will deliver outstanding bass performance. I would definitely consider purchasing the Skar Audio EVL-65 D2 again, but next time, I will ensure that my audio system can fully unleash its potential.

Still Breaking in the Subwoofer..... SO FAR THIS SUBWOOFER BANGS!!!! have this Sub Paired with a Skar 2500.1 mono block @ 1 OHM 🤯. Sounds GREAT!! Hits the lows and my black glass flexes. Co workers hear me from down the block! Going from 2 12"s to just 1 I was worried..Sounds better then my 2 subwoofers combined. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND ( BREAK IT IN CORRECTLY AND WIRE IT RIGHT) won't be disappointed!

After running a pair of Skar Audio FSX8s in my front doors, paired with some Skar tweeters and a pair of Skar Audio 6.5 coaxials in the rear, along with two 12-inch Skar EVL D4s for quite some time now, I have to say I have zero complaints about Skar Audio. Need head phones to really give it justice.

This is a very good subwoofer. I bought this sub to put it in an old Klipsch subwoofer box that I had lying around. I added a longer port to tune it up and it plays deep! It sounds good down to about 28hz which I never thought would be possible to get out of a subwoofer this size! I’d recommend you tune your own box for this since all other pre-made boxes are tuned too high and make these sound too boomy and not bassy. It gets really loud and looks cool having a thick rubber ring for excursion. The video might sound kind of bad since it rattles everything at a higher volume. The amp I am using is underpowered for this subwoofer but it still sounds incredibly powerful. This sub sounds like a 10 inch inside a car and although it is a little quieter than one it punches deep like one!

I bought some of these to replace the blown door speakers in my 2017 audi q5 with B&O. First off the B&O is garbage and I couldn't find any specs on them so I bought the dual 2 ohm speakers, wired in series for a 4 ohm load just to play it safe and not risk burning up the factory amp. (I'm sure the dual 4 ohm wired in parallel to produce a 2 ohm would hit way harder if I knew I could get away with it on my amp safely). These speakers perform very well and to my surprise produce good mid level sound as well. Unfortunately the speakers are too deep to fit in the front doors :(. Worked great in the back doors but I did have to make custom MDF spacer/adapters for all 4 doors. I installed much shallower 6.75 Kicker compRT in the front doors and the skars in the rear. Comparatively, they are much better than kickers which cost $100 a piece! Sound way better all the way around on the factory amp than the kickers as well! Idk how they would compare with the kickers with a real aftermarket amp, maybe I just am not driving them with enough power. Bottom line is these are fantastic for the price, even better than kickers at lower wattage (about 50w per speaker). One negative about the company, amazon doesn't sell this directly, they just sell it 3rd party so if you need to return any you have to deal with skar directly. It took 2 weeks to get the speakers, and when they didn't fit they tried to make me pay for the return shipping. Had to get Amazon to step in and help.

I bought this based on good reviews. However it does not sound good. Highly boomy.

This lil thing KICKS ASSSSS!!!! It blew me away that a sub so small could sound so BIG. Awesome sub... will but again

Es impresionante su construccion, aun no lo he probado, lo utilizare en un caja porteada para un Mini Cooper S, lo escogí por su tamaño y su potencia sin sacrificar el micro espacio de cajuela del auto. Anexo: Fabrique el cajon porteado de acuerdo a las especificaciones y wooww se escucha con mucha calidad, como si fuera un 12”, lo recomiendo, creo que será suficiente para mi pequeño vehículo.

What an animal! Tried to get one from America but postage and taxes just made it too difficult and expensive. Now they are available in the U.K. build quality is excellent, sound is deep and controlled, I am still in the run in period as these cones/suspension are very stiff. With 50mm of travel and big surround this thing is already shaking. Using my trusty American bass 2500md delivering a good 900-1000W @ 2 ohms. I thought my jl audio 10w6v3 sounded deep and powerful, but now it's on early retirement!
