Beautiful Quality Sashiko Thread
This DARUMA 100% cotton sashiko thread is absolutely excellent. The texture is smooth and strong, making it easy to stitch without fraying or tangling. At 32.8 m per card, there’s plenty for larger projects, and the thickness is perfect for traditional sashiko work. The quality really shows — stitches look clean, even, and have that authentic handmade feel. I also love that it’s an original DARUMA product, so you’re getting true Japanese craftsmanship. If you want sashiko thread that’s durable, easy to work with, and gives a professional finish, this is a great choice.

Fantastic sashiko threads!
This sashiko thread is absolutely beautiful. It’s somewhat thin, but looks great on more complex sashiko designs. The colors are a lovely mix of vibrant (such a the dark purple) and muted (pink and lilac). These threads are resistant and not very prone to knotting. They feel soft and high quality. Would definitely recommend them for sashiko!

Good thread
Purchased two different colors. Easy to find the end. Keeping in a round old cookue container but the envelope it came in is sturdy and nice.

Great deal to get the rainbow of genuine Daruma sashiko thread
I was very happy with my box set of colors. Now I can pore over them to decide what color goes best with my different textiles. If you are committed to sashiko, the box set gives you the best deal if you are a "try all the colors" person. As I am a novice, I started with natural white in a beginner's set, and then got a handful of individual ~40m from different brands, in different thicknesses, some solid and some variegated. Daruma is a top-quality brand, the thread is easy to work with, and the colors are very nice. I highly recommend if you're new to this thread / sewing technique, you familiarize yourself with thicknesses and find a way to try them out. Once you know what you like to work with most, invest in a long box. (I also recommend snagging a variegated alternative for a bit of fun, especially in kids' clothes or for making kitchen towels from old scraps.)

Beautiful colors!
I got the eight pack of variegated colorways and they're so beautiful. I've found Daruma's sashiko thread easy to sew with in the past. This was a very good value compared to buying these threads individually.

Beautiful, soft colors
Colors are as advertised (I purchased Tefutefu) and have a slight sheen to them. It comes in a small, sturdy envelope to keep them in. There is also a small sheet with basic beginner tips to make a Japanese kitchen towel using Sashiko. It would be nice if they would design the envelope with a small lip on it, but I am definitely pleased and will be ordering more in the future.
