HDMI 2.1 Cable

Recently purchased a Samsung S95D 77 QD-oled TV primarily for pc gaming on a big screen. Initially tried a top brand identically priced 48GB 2.1 HDMI copper cable and noticed occasional drop outs in signal and other strange artefact popping up on screen. (For reference this was an rtx 4090 mobile card on an MSI Titan HX) There didn’t seem to be any issues with a standard cable on the Xbox or PS5 however this was especially noticeable when running on pc at 4K/144HZ. After some digging about on Reddit I became clear that the issue was caused by a lack of power and signal strength due to the length of the copper cable (3m) It was obvious an optical cable was the way to go & so far it has worked a treat. HDR 4K at 144hz, all setting on games set to max and I’ve experienced zero drop outs. The cable itself is robust, very well made and seems to have resolved the dropout issue. Money well spent.

Great product

This cable comes as HDMI 2.1 certified (checked with the app from Google store) which means, per hdmi.org, that it "supports all HDMI 2.1 features including uncompressed 8k@60 and 4K@120. The cable’s increased bandwidth capability supports up to 48Gbps." For current and potential future needs I wanted a new 5m Ultra HDMI (2.1) cable and there are very few manufacturers who provide these cables with a length of 5m. At the current price this cable looks to be great value. There is always an underlying question as to whether one can discern differences in sound and picture quality between cables in different price ranges. I have always taken a view that if the cable meets the defined specifications then the only difference between pricing levels should only be product manufacturing/build quality...will it fail early on or last many years. So far this cable looks to be very robust and I can not see any issues with sound or picture quality so initial results are encouraging and I'm happy so I can recommend this.

I bought this cable back (3 metre) in May 2021 - I developed issues with the picture cutting out while playing games at 4k120 on my TV. I contacted the Maxonar support team and after some basic troubleshooting offered to send out a replacement cable. The new cable has been flawless ever since. The cable is good, but that level of service made the value aspect even better!

Update: Been running this cable now for 2 years and still works flawlessly. Now running a 4080 and was happy to see my display activate g-sync through a HDMI connection only (no display cable adapter needed). Can not fault this product at all and fully stand by my previous statement; If you want a cable that fully delivers the HDMI 2.1 specification, then this is the cable to keep an eye out for. --- For anyone getting very confused and flustered about finding a product that performs where it counts in relation to HDMI 2.1 spec, i can wholly confirm after testing that not only will this product deliver the advertised resolutions and frames per second, but it is able to support 120 frames at 4k with HDR. This is from running off a 1080 TI graphics card and using the following products in tandem (as seen in the images: 8K HDMI 2.1 Cable 3m(10Ft) & 5M(16Ft) (total cable length of 8 metres from source to display), Maxonar (Certified) /and/ Cable Matters 8K DisplayPort 1.4 to HDMI Adapter with 4K 120Hz or 8K. If you are looking to run a cable set from a PC to a display or TV and want to ensure you get HDR, 4k, 120 frames then this is exactly what you are looking for.

Don't waste your time with cheaper cables. This came with a certified hologram which scanned to show its authenticity. Cheaper 10m cables wouldn't hold a signal of 4k 120hz, but this one has. The cable itself is actually a lot more flexible and workable than other cables and can bend around corners etc. quite neat. All good, so far at least. I'll update this review if I have any problems in the future.

I know this is an 8K capable cable, but I replaced my 8K Q900R Samsung with a 4K LG OLED, I shall never go back to LED unless something drastically changes with the technology, the difference in picture quality is HUGE in favour of the OLED (Had them side by side for a few days) So this cable arrived after this change of TVs thus not tested with 8K, but its been tested well. I have bought 2 of these now as the first performed so well. Can confirm the QR code passed the HDMI Premium test. I have them plugged into a PS5 and a PC with an RTX 3080, I have zero issues with 4K HDR 120hz content. Regards audio, I have a full Dolby Atmos setup, and these cables have handled audio without issue. I know I stated I havent been able to test at 8K, but im certain these cables would handle it with no problems such is there performance at 4K120hz & certificate. That said, I honestly believe 8K TVs are a fad, unless playing native 4K or 8K, you are downgrading the rest of your media as the upscaling just isnt that great. Furthermore, media is a LONG way behind in pushing out 8K content. But if your a gamer, these cables have your sorted for the next few years in terms of PS5, Xbox, PC with 30 series GPU (They are real I promise) I know HDMI cable hunting can be a bit of a minefield, but your search is now over. These cables are spot on. Worth a buy

I bought this to connect my PC (4070TI) to a Philips 48Oled. All HDMI cable had problemes with the resolution or short black screens during working. Very annoying. This cable is awesome. Full 120 Hz, G-Sync isn't working for me but the rest is. No more short black screens etc. If you have a OLED and want to use it on your PC than use this cable.

Tengo un tv samsung qn90b que uso como monitor de pc. Tenia problemas de parpadeo en resolución 4k a 120hz. Trate de solucionar el problema con 3 tipo de cable, entre ellos el cable original de la ps5, todos me daban problemas de parpadeos de manera aleatoria. Tengo 2 semanas de usar este cable y los parpadeos han desaparecido.

El cable se nota resistente, sus partes lucen bien y de buena calidad. Otro punto a favor es que son cables completamente confiables ya que cumplen con los requisitos para el uso de HDMI 2.1 tanto 4K, 8K en todos sus formatos. Y puedes escanear el cable con su código QR para comprobar que es un producto genuino con los estándares para los que está hecho. He comprado dos y no he tenido ningún problema. Lo volvería a comprar sin duda.
