6" Bamboo Steamer Set Sunrise Kitchen Supply

I got this to put my crochet bao in, which I was going to give as a gift on a birthday. The steamer is exactly 6 inches and it fit perfectly. The only problem was that the layers were too small so I had to brake the bottom of one any make them be into one 🤣. I don’t really know how good will this be for actually cooking but i think it’s good 😊

This is clearly labelled as a 6" bamboo steamer set. It is small, but that makes it perfect for using inside a rice cooker, which is how I use it. I place one of the steamer bodies and the cover on top of the rice and water I've put in the rice cooker. I've always been making 2-3 cups of rice, and use this to steam carrot slices or broccoli. It works very well, no additional water or cooking needed. If you are cooking for a large family, or using the rice cooker on its own you may indeed want a different model. But this is quite well suited for what it is.

Item is good but too small

This is my second 6" steamer. I wore out the first one. The 6" size fits perfectly on the rim of my 1 quart pan. We use it to steam veggies and reheat left overs daily. It is easy to clean and the bamboo is perfect for wet prep/use/cleaning. It is so smart how the basket and lid are put together with just bamboo, no metal or plastic to add to trash bin. I also have the larger 8-10" steamer baskets. Love them!

I used this product to defrost soup dumplings because I kept breaking them in my other steamer. The product is as described, however, if I had a do-over I would get an 8 inch. I need to use both trays to fit one serving of dumplings. I thought my saucepan was 6 inches but it is actually 7 inches. I would rather the steamer sit on top than fall inside the pan. An 8 inch would have been perfect. The dumplings continue to break so I may need to add parchment into the mix.
