Very nice cover.
Fits the basic machine well, but is not big enough to cover the slide holder, as it protrudes out of the front. But no problem, I just swap it out for the slide scanner, which sits flush with the front of the scanner and fits under the cover.

No provision for power or USB cables while using cover.
I had my cover modified at an alteration shop to allow the power and USB cables to remain plugged into the scanner with the cover on.

Snug and well-finished
Nice snug fit for scanner and single slide feed. Will not fit with film feeder inserted. Very well made and finished. Impressed enough that I got a custom printer and flat-bed cover

A must have for a Nikon Coolscan V/5000
I'm surprised that Nikon did not think of it in a first place. It's a must have accessory for your scanner. In order to use it, you must have slide adapter plugged in. It doesn't fit with film/negative strips Adapter.
