A commercial-grade wax suitable for use in the home
When I was a kid, waxing the kitchen floor was a weekly chore, using paste wax and a lot of elbow grease. As times “progressed” homeowners could choose from a huge selection of brands of one-step liquid floor waxes that required no buffing and would last for many months before a repeat application. Today, if you search the shelves of even a well-stocked store you will find (maybe) one brand of home floor wax available. In fact when I asked an associate at the big orange home improvement hardware store recently he looked at me like I just stepped off a spaceship from another galaxy. People simply do not wax their floors anymore, perhaps due to newer flooring materials and personal preference … no one is really interested in having a shiny kitchen floor these days. But I wanted a tough high-gloss waxed finish in the newly-installed vinyl floor in my guest bathroom … both for appearance and ease of maintenance. The only readily available suitable floor waxes were either commercial-grade (meant to be used with power buffers) or this product from Lundmark. Lundmark’s website indicates that some retail stores might carry it but none in my area do, so I bought the quart-sized container from Amazon. The price is reasonable, about the same as any floor-care product sold at retail and the seller packs it well to avoid leakage in shipping. The new floor in my bathroom has a simulated marble pattern with close to 50% of the floor exposed to view. The pattern is actually quite convincing and we choose it for the warmth of vinyl over real marble or other stone material. The only thing that was missing was the high gloss of real marble. The flooring is new and only needed a quick wipe with a damp mop before applying the Lundmark product. The instructions are specific that it should be applied with a clean cloth in a very thin layer, with additional layers added if a higher gloss is desired. I followed the instructions and was very pleased with the result. Not only did this wax give the floor a nice sheen like you would find in the marble lobby of a commercial building, but the liquid wax filled in the areas between the floor tiles and helped make it look like one continuous polished stone surface. Unlike buffed paste waxes, the Lundmark product resulted in a glossy floor without it being slippery, the perfect combination for the guest bathroom. As an experiment I also applied it to the faux marble countertop which had become dulled with age and was very happy with the new glossy look I got. CAUTION: I tried this to seal and finish a newly laid laminate wood floor and the edges of the laminate immediately started to curl. I had to tear up the entire floor and throw it away. From my experience I would highly recommend NOT using this on laminate/wood floors. I have not lowered my rating because nowhere does the manufacturer state that this product is safe for laminate/wood floors.

Prep the floor properly and you will not be disappointed.
The linoleum was prepped meticulously, so when we applied this "wax" finish it was essentially stripped to its original non-shiny finish. It was easy to apply. Over the course of 4 or 5 days, I added about two coats a day, so by the time I was done, it looked beautiful and was resistant to spills, which beaded up on the surface. I could have rushed the process as it can be recoated more quickly, but I wanted to make sure it was nice and dry before adding more coats. It's a very shiny surface and looks great.

The Best Shiny Floor Wax
So funny, to think a floor wax makes a difference, but it does. I applied this to the bathroom floor and notice how it shines every time I walk into the room. I just used a cloth mop, took no time at all, and the floor looks great. Awesome on my large kitchen floor, too. Very happy with the product. ***Update, October 25, 2017*** Found a great way to apply this wax: Pour wax into an inexpensive spray bottle. On clean, dry floor, spritz wax on small section, I did a 3 x 2 foot section at a time. Then, gently smooth over the spray with a simple wet sponge mop. No more pouring puddles of wax on the floor! Spraying the wax allows much more uniform coverage and my floors sparkle. This wax is the best!

Good but not super gloss
It does hold up well, and it is shiny but it is not SUPER glossy. After two coats on my Travertine tile, it had a sheen to the surface, but it wasn't high gloss. It is holding up well, and it is better than what you can find at the grocery store, but don't expect a high gloss finish.

Lundmark Wax Super Gloss Floor Wax, 32-Ounce
The Lundmark Wax did give a great shine to the floor, but it takes 12 hours to dry/heal. Applying with a cotton roller was the best method for my attempt to apply the product. Pros: -Nice gloss Cons: -The gloss last 2-3 weeks -Medium smell -Takes 12 hours to dry. -Slippery when wet. ("Trewax Gold Label Sealer Wax, Gloss Finish, 32-Ounceis" is the best: dries in 30mins , no slip, and last longer)

Replacement for Pledge/Future Floor Gloss/Finish that actually performs better for model varnishing.
I've done some tests using this for sealing acrylic paint on models. Many people used to use a product called Future Floor Finish, which has since been rebranded under the Pledge name. Pledge has since changed the product name a few times, but at the time of this writing it is called "Pledge Revive it Floor Gloss" and can be purchased at some hardware stores for a good price. The price on Amazon is ridiculous. Do not pay that money. Especially now that I've tested and can confirm that this product works even better than the Pledge product. It's harder, has better coverage, and does the same thing. Also, it's way easier to get on Amazon for a good price. So I would say this is fine to use on your models, Warhammer minis, reaper, nolzurs, etc. If it's too glossy you can add some Tamiya flat base and it will make it more flat. Or, use this as an inexpensive first coast of varnish, and top it off with a more flat varnish such as Testor's dulcote, if you can get it.

Nice clear gloss!
This Lundmark Super Gloss Acrylic is the best match (if not better) to the Pledge Floor Gloss wax that is no longer available. I tried the highly recommended Rejuvenate & Quick Shine, & was thoroughly disappointed. This Lundmark gives my old bathroom floor tiles a new beautiful gloss shine. Dried quickly & seems durable.

I was really happy with the finish results. I really like my floor but it was losing its sheen in areas, noticeable when the light hit it. This improved the look, I don't know how it will be for wax build up but I am satisfied with this product.

It does what I wanted; As an old Store Manager,in the days where liquid wax was popular;West Chemicals,Dustbane Manufactured,Ottawa, wax stripper, wax sealers,ant-slip wax and a few more ;today all these product are maybe sold differently ,and most people selling these products don't even know what they are selling

This product is super. I am so glad that I purchased it. The only way to get a stronger shine would be to pour water on the floor and leave it. Barring this, you will not regret your purchase. I do two thin coats all over and then I do a third coat just in walking areas. Very pleased so far.

Just What I wanted, very shinny. But as soon you pass a mope on it, the water comes blurry. Seem like the wax comes off.
