This is a fantastic tool. No need to spend big money, this will get the job done. The light is very nice and works very well, sands great and comes with many tools for many applications.

I gotta say, this is the best purchase I've made in a while... Due to some physical issues I've been doing A LOT of shopping online. Most of the stuff is ok, not the best, but also not the worst (cuz I read product reviews). But let me tell you, this HARDELL Mini Cordless Rotary Tool is AMAZING!!! It's small enough to fit in my hand perfectly (I wear extra small size gloves), and allows me to have complete control no matter what the angle. It's sanding ability is excellent. And, between the variations in speed control & the amount of different bits that can be used, make this tool so versatile. Despite it's size, it feels like it's pretty sturdy. I think it's gonna last me quite a while. And the battery capacity is excellent. I will say, I feel there's only 1 minor design flaw. I wish the location of the power & speed buttons were swapped around though. While working with it, it did shut it off by accident because I hit the power button. But it only happened once, as I was more careful going forward... If anyone is debating whether this is a "good tool" or "worth the money", let me tell you IT IS, AND THEN SOME!!!

This is great little toolkit! The smaller size and freedom from the cord is perfect for my guitar modding work. I would highly recommend it, especially at the low price. It's worth a lot more! There is one thing I would change and that would be the ability to turn off the work-light at the tip. It is more of a nuisance than a feature. Nobody uses a tool like this in the dark. We don't need this light. It's too bright. It blinds you if you use the tool from behind an object with it pointing at you. It hides your work area by casting a shadow over the tool tip when using it in a normal forward pointing fashion. I covered mine up with copper tape so now it works fine.

I have a couple of larger rotary tools and but haven't had use for one this size. I've done delicate projects with the larger tool in the past, but today I had a particular challenging product. I've been thinking about it for several days and was dismayed I gave my hanging stand for one of my Dremel tools to my son, which would have made it easier to do this very fragile repair, but who lives out of state. Since borrowing it was impractical, I picked up this tool...the cheapest I could find for what I figured was one time use. I love this tiny tool. So light weight, it was so easy to keep my hand completely steady and view my item. The larger tools can be unweildy for something so fragile and small, but this size was perfect. The power was perfect, the little light that increases visibility is perfect. The case is perfect, ease of use....I really couldn't ask for anything better. It came with several very small crushed diamond sanding bits, and they were all exactly what I needed to get my item back to almost new condition without causing new damage, which was my concern. Recommended. I didn't get the advertised gift set, just the basic set shown, but at the time of this review, the basic set includes a charging cable, instructions, 2 small plastic boxes of various bits and discs and mini saw wheels and a wrench (to use the sanding and saw blade wheels and a really small and convenient case--perfect as a small gift, too. I'm beyond pleased and actually know I'll have a lot more use for this afterall.

As someone with a variety of hobbies, I love having portable tools. This product definitely fills the rotary tool niche in my book. The device is lightweight but solid, allowing for perfect use no matter where. The tool is just as powerful and useful as a typical corded rotary, so there was no discrepancy in comparison to a corded version. The battery life is also very good as well, allowing me to work for more than two hours on a single battery charge. I found the instructions to be wonderfully easy to understand, especially for someone like me who hates setting up new devices. The buttons are clear, and the weight is minimal, allowing for it to rest in your hands like a pen. I also appreciate the wide variety of extras included with the set, and it made for a completely portable version of a standard corded version, just without any hassle. It has worked on all the typical shop craft items I have worked on before without any issue. The use I can get and have gotten out of this device is great. I can enthusiastically recommend this as a gift, or even just for you, especially at this price.

Nicely made, but lacks substantial power. I bought this because I needed to cut a 1/16" x ~1" slit longitudinally in a the middle of a length of 1" schedule 40 PVC pipe. That doesn't seem as if it should be a daunting task for a rotary tool but, I had to be very careful not to stall this one out while doing that. I was using a very narrow kerf rotary saw blade of about 1-1/4" diameter. On the positive side, the build does seem to be of high quality, and there was not much run-out at the shaft. Hopefully it lasts. I would recommend this tool, but only for very light duty tasks. It would probably be fine for engraving.

I initially bought this so I can drill holes on seashells I've found on the beach. The shells are fragile, and this thing takes its time drilling the hole, which is great because this prevents the shell from breaking. The other application I used this for was smoothing down a metal charm after I cut off a piece of it, did a wonderful job. I've only charged it once and used it for those two applications, and it's been working good. Everything I've needed to use it for, it has definitely come in handy.

This rotary tool actually works parked really well. The tool was very small and light weight but has lot of power. It’s great for very small jobs or arts and crafts. The cordless and rechargeable feature was awesome.
