I've seen about 120+ Christmas movies in the last 3-4 years on streaming platforms.. and this is the first time I've come across such a movie with the adoption element. What makes this so intense (for me) is that my prev.partner often talks about the child she had to give up for adoption many many years ago.. and the emotions of it all.. around Xmas times.. and I've always been supportive. And this film just hit all the most secret soft spots for me. I dare not tell her about it.. Maybe it'll be too painful. But wow.. what a movie. I'll save this for watching again.. next year. And Scot Wolf.. I used to watch him on Party of Five decades ago when i was young.. And now he is a grown up actor for a grown up me.. and it all clicks.. Brilliant!

Unexpectedly Superb and emotional!
Wow. That twist that sneaked up during a casual walk..and became a big thing.. Incredible! Absolutely loved it!
I really loved this film - I didn’t feel that it was your typical cliché Christmas movie, it was such a lovely story with a beautiful little twist. Great to also have such good character and actors.

Grown-up romance
There is something more mature about those grown-up romantic movie. You don't necessarily see the third act conflict coming and it is not really a conflict but a natural setback. None of that formulaic drama, just grown-ups feeling good together and the Christmas magic used to create an unexpected reveal. This movie is probably another 3 out of 5 but just to separate it from all the other average romantic movies I rated that way, I gave it a 4. *******Beware Spoilers further down******** I melted when the female lead told her biological son that his adoptive mother will always be his mother, asked him permission to be his friend, and asked him for his forgiveness. I melted further when the boy said there was nothing to forgive.

Poor quality dvd
I enjoyed this movie in television. Ordered the DVD to see again but quality so bad that I couldn't enjoy.
