Worked out for me for a water softener. Clean install. Mounting screws were in a slightly different place than the original being replaced but the original mounting bracket allowed for this different mounting configuration. Took all of 10 minutes to swap out and I was on my way again.

The product is a direct replacement, but it was delivered late and my softener developed a leak and so a plumber was necessary. I did not use the product and had to return it

Item shipped and arrived quickly. Unfortunately, it didn't work when it arrived. I had to reschedule my installation, drop off the defective item at UPS Store for return, and wait for a replacement. It makes me wonder how much $$$, packaging material and CO2 emissions will be spent shipping this small, cheap, broken motor around the world. Am I the only one who is nostalgic for a time when you could go down to the neighborhood hardware store to buy locally-made stuff that actually worked.

Works just like the original so I’m pleased. When installing make sure the gold color backing plate that the motor is attached to is the correct side up. The humped area faces the new motor or the black gears mesh and won’t advance while the unit is plugged in. Also make sure the polarity of the wires is correct so the motor doesn’t turn anti clockwise if so reverse the two black wires

Easy installation. The timer is nice and quiet now. Easy to install - 2 screws and 2 wire connections. Fit perfectly.

This motor was obtained as replacement for a 25-year-old Culligan water softener. A Culligan dealer informed me that this component was obsolete and not available. He went on to try to convince me to purchase or rent a new softener and scrap the old unit. A new unit would have lots of high-tech bells and whistles instead a simple mechanical timer. The new technology would not last 25 years. It would probably break in 15 to 18 months. I bench tested the new motor prior to installation. The install is straight forward. Two mounting screws and 2 wire connections. This is an AC motor, so polarity is not an issue. The new motor is in place and softener regenerates as it should. It may go for another 25 years.

Excellent product…was an exact replacement for the motor on my ~20 yr old water softener. Fast delivery and excellent price point.
