Willow Tree Kindness (boy), Sculpted Hand-Painted Figure

I have multiple Willow tree carvings.This one was a perfect addition as our family is growing

I have several Willow Tree figurines and have given several as gifts. All my figurines have been female figures. Since I have a daughter figurine holding a cat, I wanted a son figurine and this one holding a puppy was perfect. My son is an adult now but as a boy, he had a little dog he adored and the dog adored him. This one reminded me of those times. It isn't too large which is what I wanted to go with others in my collection. I have a "mom" figurine, I put the daughter and now son under the taller mom one and then I have a larger Christus statute (a replica of the Danish sculpture) over all of us and it is beautiful on top of my curio cabinet. All Willow Tree figurines are lovely. Just have to find the ones that "speak" to you or someone you want to give it too. My next purchases will be a father/son and father/daughter.

The Willow Tree Kindness Boy made me smile from the moment I removed it from the box.:) In my opinion it looks better in person. For anyone who has a son this is a good fit-whether he's grown up and out in the world or still in school making memories while playing with the family dog. If you currently have or had a dog and want a simple something that says it all. This works perfectly. It makes a great gift ranging from grieving to celebration. You may want to buy 2: one for yourself and one as a gift. It goes well with Willow Tree Angel of Comfort. If you don't already have it, do yourself a favor and check it out. If you have your heart set on a girl, check out the Willow Tree Kindness Girl, She is in a similar pose but with a cat instead of a dog.

The position of the sculpture, is authentic. If you’re a dog lover, it will hit home. The quality is nice, the weight feels like 8 quarters in your hand. Like a paperweight.

Craftsmanship is excellent and symbolizes the love a boy has for his dog for eternity.

I love this artist’s work. I have several of her pieces. I got this because it reminds me of my grandson and his love of all dogs. However, I feel it is overpriced for its size.
